I went to Alts and was working with Marva on my wedding dress & afterparty outfit and had a wonderful experience. She is incredibly talented and an absolute perfectionist! And she, as well as everyone else I interacted with there, were all such lovely and kind people. I was anxious going into it but I am so thankful I ditched the bridal shop and got it done with Marva at Alts! Their hours were also great for working around appointments, which was a huge issue for me at the place i bought my dress from! 5 stars ⭐️ Coming back post-wedding to share some pics :)

Really happy with my experience here - I had initially taken my wedding dress to a different tailor and I wasn’t perfectly happy with the results. I brought the dress here, and they fixed it right up (took the dress in properly + helped me decide what to do with cups and other alterations). Marva was amazing - I also brought the dress in on Wednesday, for a Saturday wedding :) so the fast turnaround was much appreciated. Thank you Marva and Alts!!!!

Genuinely confused by these reviews. A couple of years ago I had a dress made for me and I have a wedding coming up and thought it would be perfect. It’s made of a stretch fabric and so comfortable. However, inside the waist band was a harder piece of fabric with no stretch. When I tried it on and it still fit and I was able to zip it up but because of the waistband not being able to stretch I made it a little uncomfortable to take a deep breath. I brought it to ALTs just to have the inside waistband cut out a little bit in the back to make it more comfortable. I didn’t need the fabric itself taken out at all because of the stretch fabric, just the inside lined waistband cutout. It cost me $120 to take out 1 inch of the inside lining and $55 for a rush fee cause I needed it to be done in 8 days for my event. I just went to pick it up and it looks horrible (see photos). It looks like they undid the seam, cut the inside waistband out and then sewed it back up unevenly multiple times so that the old holes from all the previous seams are visible. On the inside there was also a huge hole in the fabric. The guy at the front desk brought it back to the seamstress and she “threw a stitch in it so that hole wouldn’t get bigger”. I wish I had gotten a picture before she sewed up that hole because it was absurd. Also on the bottom of the zipper it’s also sewn back up horribly and I’m not even sure why they needed to touch that part of the dress because all I needed was the inside lining cut in the waistband cut out. I tried to be really nice and just say that this isn’t the quality I expected to get for a nearly $200 alteration. All the guy at the front desk kept saying is “I’m sorry”, eventually he offered to give me a discount of an undisclosed amount that would be credited to my account for my next alteration. This was my first time here and If this is the quality they offer I wouldn’t dare bring any more of my items to ALTs for them to destroy. The event I needed this for is tomorrow so I had no choice but to take it and go. I’m so beyond disappointed and upset. This dress was made for me for a very special occasion and now its destroyed. And the way it was handled by their staff made it that much worse. Hopefully this can be rectified in the future with ALTs directly because this is just unacceptable.

Marva is an absolute gem. From beginning to end, she was sweet, reassuring, and took the time to explain everything every step of the way. She helped me get my dress finalized in less than a month and even came in on her days off to make sure I was completely happy with every detail. I couldn't have asked for a better experience--she truly went above and beyond.
