Angelo, Stevie and Nellie were friendly, professional and efficient. I wish they had brought more bubble wrap and some shrink wrap but that wasn’t their fault. The broker did not communicate with them.
Dear god, listen to me and the others who say STAY AWAY FROM BELLHOP. First thing's first - my movers Micah and Lawrence were great. They were kind and efficient and completely helpful to me in my state of overwhelm. The two hours they spent helping me finish a move mattered greatly, and I'd be happy to hire either one of them again outside of Bellhop. (UPDATE 12/28/25: I no longer feel this way. See updated section at the bottom.) The movers are not the issue. Bellhop is. I called Bellhop on Saturday morning because I unexpectedly needed a part two to my move. The agent was efficient, found an appointment for me for 2 p.m. Sunday, and took my deposit. He assured me that I'd be receiving an email confirmation and contract immediately after the call. Those didn't come so I called an hour later to inquire. What I now know was an AI agent assured me that he "started a ticket" and I would receive both soon. Those still didn't come, but later that day, another Bellhop agent called to change the time of my appointment from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. I again asked about the contract and email, but the agent sounded confused and basically hung up. Cue my nerves. I did receive a text with a link and QR code. For a brief period, I was able to see my Bellhop dashboard but could not add any notes like it told me to. I also couldn't see a contract or move details. Meanwhile, the credit card was already charged. The movers arrived at the original time of 2 p.m., not 3 p.m. like Bellhop had called and rescheduled. They said that Bellhop had not contacted them at all. All of us were confused, and I scrambled to organize things for them. After the move, we scanned the QR code to stop the time (you scan it to start and stop the clock). They were with me 2-4 p.m. This is important for later. Scanning glitched, plus I was no longer able to access my dashboard. Since then, I've tried repeatedly to contact Bellhop for 1) a contract, 2) an itemized receipt and 3) access to my dashboard. The credit card had three Bellhop charges, and due to all the issues, I wanted to know exactly what these charges were for (they just said generic Bellhop stuff). I called multiple times, both to the previous reservation line (got the AI agent twice) and to the new reservation line (got humans twice). Neither were helpful. I was told I'd get everything I'd asked for, but saw nothing. I did, however, receive texts asking for reviews. I still don't know what these charges were exactly and will proceed with a chargeback because I have tried my damnest. This company does not care. Magically, I can access my dashboard today, four days after the move. Bellhop claims that I used more time than what the movers and I had scanned, thus charging me more money. This is false, as I watched the movers scan the code and we did not go beyond two hours. I booked Bellhop because I was in a last-minute pinch. I highly recommend you do literally anything else but this. ------- UPDATE 12/28/25 I'm not going to respond to the owner's comments because it's not helpful. Bellhop didn't address the time discrepancy, why the team had no clue that the reservation person pushed the move back, the fact that I *watched* the time scan happen at the two-hour mark, or why I couldn't get actual, useful human help despite the number of times I called. Bellhop no longer exists in my world. Except this: Today I woke up to an extremely inappropriate photo in my text messages from one of the movers. We had shared numbers to take care of digital tips on moving day. Nothing inappropriate had happened until now. But today, out of the blue, bam. I took screenshots for record and blocked the number. But Bellhop, vet your contractors more. And customers, rethink exchanging information and digital tips.
Glass insert for my table was missing when unloaded. I immediately called the truck driver and man in charge of unloading and they said they would handle getting it back to me. Now Customer Service is telling me since I didn’t complete an inventory sheet they aren’t obligated to make it right. They will give me $50 to make me feel better. It doesn’t. There is no way I could have a specially cut, tempered and beveled glass for $50. I have done dozens of moves over my 76 years and I never had been as disappointed.
Just DONT DO IT! I moved from Ohio to Phoenix with Bellhop. During the move they caused over ten thousand dollars in damage to my furniture. I have the pictures to prove it. They asked for lots of documentation of the damaged items which I provided. In turn they offered me a settlement of $378.48. They have some stupid system where they pay for damaged items by weight. Here is an examples - Teak Bench: @70 pounds * 0.60/pound = $42.00 (the bench cost over $1500), or my brand new dining room table - Dining Table: @100 pounds * 0.60/pound = $60.00 (the Table was $2500). I attached 2 pictures. One is of the back of the truck when they arrived. It looked like the truck rolled. The piece of wood you can see in the first picture is the back they ripped off a custom made log armoire. If you zoom in you can also see my road bike is upside down so the frame is bent. The second picture is an expensive teak bench. If there was a way to do a review with less stars they would get zero.
The Bellhop Moving crew was on time, friendly, and introduced themselves on arrival to the apartment building. They were very efficient and took care of my belongings when loading the truck. The communication from the company was quick and responsive when I asked questions prior to the move. The move was easy, and I had a FANTASTIC group of men to assist with my move! I highly recommend Bellhop moving if you are looking for a moving company!
