Dr Cousins is so kind and reassuring. I feel very heard when I ask questions. Amanda the assistant was also very helpful and listened to my concerns. Both were great in handling my kitty and though she was a little scared they were so gentle with her. I had heard many great things about this clinic over the years from friends and family and online reviews. I’m so glad I decided to come here when I adopted my new kitty. I plan to bring my other 4 pets in when they need care! I have no doubts they’ll treat them all well, even my grumpy seniors. Thank you!
Title: Compassionate and patient care for my fur baby 🐾 I can’t thank the team enough for how well they treated my dog, Jet. From the moment we walked in, everyone was kind, patient, and gentle with him. The vet took the time to explain everything clearly, checked his injury carefully, and made sure he was comfortable before we left. They didn’t rush us, and you could tell they genuinely care about animals, not just as patients but as family. Jet can be a handful, but they handled him with so much love and understanding. I left feeling relieved knowing he was in good hands. I’ll definitely be bringing him back here for all his future care. Thank you for treating Jet like your own 💙🐶
We had such a hard time finding a place to take our Oreo to that wouldn't charge us an exorbitant amount of money. We knew it was time to put him to sleep, but we felt like so many places take advantage of people when they are most vulnerable. At Blue Cross Pet Clinic, we paid a total of about $165. We did not choose cremation at all, so this was the least expensive way for us. I did ask for a paw print, which they don't do anymore, but thankfully, they were able to do it for us. Blue Cross did an amazing job making us feel comfortable, answering any questions, and giving us private moments we needed to say our goodbyes. The doctor explained the process as she was doing it and explained what each syringe would do for Oreo. His passing was truly painless and merciful - he never even flinched. We have never done this before, but Blue Cross truly made us feel like they sympathized with us. There were no smiles from anyone, just very sad and empathetic expressions. I don't know if any other place does this, but they had a little lantern on the check-in desk, and it said "If this light is on, someone is saying Goodbye. Please speak softly during this difficult time." As hard of a day as it was, they really made it so much better. They also gave us a special bag to place him in to go home and be buried. They didn't rush us at all and really just showed a lot of sympathy, some even having tears in their eyes. 🐾🌈🤍
I have been going to blue cross ever since they were a hole-in-the-wall, little red building by the bank, tucked away. And since then I still love everything about Blue Cross. All four of my boys go here. All of my family’s dogs go here. My dog I had fifteen years ago went here. The care always has been and still is beyond exceptional. Dr. Plouffe is incredible and is always super attentive to my boys. And the techs always make sure they get cheese. I’m so protective of my animals, that I don’t take them just anywhere and I’m extremely picky when it comes to who can stick needles in my babies. Like I would make John Wick look like a saint with these horror stories about some vet places. But without a doubt, I have complete trust in Blue Cross to prioritize my boys. I have seen firsthand how patient and catering they are to each of them. My boys are champs when it comes to the vet but I understand that animals are animals. The vets techs are always cautious but you can tell they love their job at the same time. It’s just refreshing to see a vets office not put a muzzle on my dog right off the bat for his breed. They spend the extra minutes to make sure your animal is calm, they answer all and any questions I throw at them, and I will never go anywhere else!!
I've been going to these folks for several years. The ladies up front are friendly, efficient, and respond quickly to calls and text messages. The vets and techs have all been fantastic! Not only that, but my dogs are comfortable and happy to come back, time after time. I've been to serval vets over the years, but I will be staying with Blue Cross now that I've found them! Highly recommend!
