I really wanted to like this place. We were staying for 3 nights. The day rate is really high, almost doubled the cost for our camp site. I noticed a literal knife left on the table at our campground, and a fishing lure. We had to clean up instantly to make it safe for kids. My son noticed many things at the playground broken, wheels missing so the screws are just exposed, there was trash everywhere. A lot that is wanting some TLC, but reason for review is Friday night, a group of campers were partying way past quiet hours till like 2 am with talking and loud music. My husband said he saw someone came and talked to them but nothing changed. All the rules they send out I really don’t get it. We came here for my son’s birthday weekend and don’t plan on coming back to this campground. Update: What’s worse is we found out the camp host was supposedly right next to them. We came camping with my son and 2 month old and have never had campers so rude, ppl even asking them to keep it quiet. It only improved the second night, the host would drive away and they would turn the music up again. When we got back that evening it was finally quiet.

We took our food truck out to the lake this weekend for the fireworks show. We had awesome customers! The fireworks were awesome as always.

This is a great place to go and hang out for the weekend. Great people that live here at the lake too. Very accommodating and easy going folks.

One of the areas best kept secrets. Everything is so beautiful here. Boat ramp, multiple restrooms, RV hookups, playground, hundreds of birds & ducks.... I wish I could have stayed longer. I'll be back.

Giving this 5, but really should be a 4.5 for the little things: It's a private community and residents are coming and going through the private gate along with guests. This should be explained. It has a late check out, so don't arrive too early. Campers take advantage of the 3pm check out. Dump station should be on the park map too. The good stuff: On the lake camping, great sunsets, fishing/swimming/boating from your campsite. Great bike rides and off road trails if you have quads or side by sides. The city is just a few miles away. Downtown is a 15 min drive. Definitely THE place to camp if you're visiting Lubbock, and you can score a reservation. We came in late Oct for great weather and no crowds.
