My dear friend recently passed away, and her family chose C2 Estate Sales to handle the estate sale. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply upsetting. The owner—whom many shoppers referred to with unkind nicknames due to her behavior—was shockingly rude and dismissive toward customers. Attending the sale was already emotional, as I watched strangers sift through my friend’s belongings. I wanted to purchase a few items to keep her memory close, including a fireplace screen. I paid for the screen, along with several other pieces, and left them temporarily so I could return with help to carry them to my car. The stated rule of the sale was that all purchased items had to be picked up by 3:00 PM on Sunday. I returned with my sister at 2:00 PM—well before the deadline—only to discover that the owner had resold the fireplace screen I had already purchased. When I asked if she knew who she had sold it to, she admitted she did, but flatly refused to contact the buyer. Her response was not only unhelpful but delivered with hostility—she raised her voice at me in front of others. Combined with the grief of losing my friend, this treatment was overwhelming. What should have been a respectful process of remembrance turned into a distressing and disrespectful encounter
My wife and I had a Horrible experience. I approached an estate sale HOSTED by this company in Plano. The checkout worker Brenda was very rude. Even though the manager was notified about the situation and apologized for the misbehavior. My wife was still very upset. Do not recommend this company at all, at least train the workers to be respectful and polite when guests have questions.
Definitely had some nice things. They were decorating for Christmas during our visit so there was a fair amount of chaos. There was almost too much to take in. The displays that were completed were lovely, but very busy. My eyes didn’t know where to look next because there was just so much. The vibe is ornate and a little over the top, so if you’re into that, this is the place for you. Honestly, I’m more of a minimalist, so the showroom was overwhelming. Prices were a little high for me even though I could afford it. Staff was pleasant, which is always appreciated.
DO NOT use this service for your estate sale. I had a terrible experience over this past summer. After a walkthrough, Charm agreed to have the estate sale of my deceased parents around the Park and Preston area in Plano. We had a tight deadline for our for sale date on the house and I had informed her during the walk through that there would be additional items from our storage unit moved into the house before the sale. I had asked Charm multiple times how to set up the house and what to do, and even mentioned the new items asking if she wanted to do another walkthrough, and she never followed up with any specifics whatsoever. The house was in fine condition, but indeed could've used a bit of cleaning from when some of our personal items we did not want to sell were taken into storage. When the team arrived, they were very polite, but then Charm showed up and had an absolute panic about the new items and how nothing would get done in time. She shouted in the other room yelling about dollar amounts (despite having seen the house already, and been informed as of what I would be taking out and putting in) and asked me to leave her be so that she could assess the situation, and then quickly came back and said that she has "never had to pull a job, but would have to this time" (which I doubt). She had acted like the place was in horrible condition akin to that of a hoarder, which could not be further from the truth. When I pleaded to change the pay split or to hire additional help our of my own pocket given the time frame for our for sale date, she continued to panic, took her team, walked out of my door, claiming that she had another client call to take. I never heard from her again, thankfully. Regardless of her wanting to do a job or not, no one should ever treat clients this way. No instructions beforehand, careless attitude, especially to a grieving person in their 20s who had never hoped to have to handle such a task at this point, and could have used even the slightest guidance from her or her team. This set our home for sale date back well over a month. I recommend avoiding even if agreed to, she is happy to brag about her auctions in Highland Park and the North 40. I believe she should stick to them and you should avoid if you do not fit this criteria. Either way, I cannot say strongly enough: AVOID.
I had a wonderful experience shopping at Consignment No. 235. I had been in once before an fell in love with everything in their store. I was able to go back a month later and purchase multiple items for our new home. The owners were so kind and were able to recommend a great delivery service for next day delivery.
