Thank you Cougar Heating for sending Zane over to our house. He came in and quickly determined what was wrong with our hvac system, proposed a solution, and got it repaired. He also reviewed, at our request, the old hot water tank we had. He offered multiple quotes one of which we accepted. They were back the very next day. Terrence and his assistant arrived with our new hot water tank and did a masterful job of removal of the old and installation of the new. All the techs showed great professionalism. We highly recommend them.
Cougar installed a new furnace for us about a year ago, and my wife called them yesterday for an issue with noise while the unit was running. They had a tech out to us the next day, and he immediately found the issue and corrected it. The tech, Zane, went above and beyond by correcting another issue we didn't think could be fixed and hadn't asked for when scheduling the service, but we are beyond excited to have everything working better now than the day it was installed. Overall, my experience with Cougar has been great across the board. Techs have always been professional and friendly, and the service has always been on time and exceeded our expectations.
Don't use Cougar Heating, AC and Plumbing. We had a large amount of water collecting around our furnace and called Cougar to diagnose the issue. The first technician charged us for a diagnosis but didn’t find the real cause — the water problem continued exactly the same after he left. After I called to report that nothing had improved, Cougar sent another technician. While this second tech was investigating, he attempted to turn off a valve — and that’s when things went downhill. The valve immediately began gushing water, something it had not been doing before he touched it. He was unable to stop the flow, and now it was necessary to shut off the main water supply leaving us with no water. Cougar then sent out their plumber, who told us we should consider replacing all the shut-off valves in the house. The plumber replaced one valve and a supply tube — but this repair only addressed the damage caused during their own service call. The total bill for that visit was $861.89, in addition to what we had already paid for the first (incorrect) HVAC diagnosis. Even after paying nearly $1,000, we still had water around the furnace. Fortunately, a friend referred us to her brother-in law. who correctly diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. In our experience, Cougar misdiagnosed the problem, caused additional damage, and charged us for their mistake. 1. Picture is after Cougar "fixed it." Looked the same as before they "fixed it twice!!! 2. Picture is after our friend's brother-in-law fixed it. 3. Invoice ..notice the invoice. HVAC Tech attempted to shut off angle stop this made the leak worse. 4. What Cougar said caused the leak 5. Where the leak was coming from and friend's brother-in-law located. He dug out around the vent pipe, sealed and fixed a crack in it then finished the job with foam. Water from sprinklers and rain was causing the problem.
This crew Lauden, Nate, Wyatt and Parker are polite, knowledgeable and meticulous about the process and equipment. It is so good to see people who take pride in their trade! This crew was clean and efficient. New furnace and AC. New cap on the chimney. Cleanup was perfect 👌 5 stars plus.
Amazing workmanship with meticulous attention to detail!!!! We had a new AC, furnace and filtration system installed and all the guys did an outstanding job!!! Chris, Zack & Chase came out on a holiday to install our new systems & we are so grateful for them!!! They took great care of our house with meticulous concerns for even the smallest details!!! Would definitely give them all a 5 star rating!! Thank you so much!!
