I'm tired of waiting for my wedding band after numerous errors from their side. We got my wedding band from there and submitted it to get it resized and engraved. The ring came back in the right size but with no engraving. So we requested to have it sent back and get it engraved again. They sent us the picture of what it would look like, and AGAIN there was an error. Moreover, they promised a special sped up service. We keep calling and asking for an update but there is no news, no updates. Nothing. Like come on, we got it 3 months ago and I still haven't worn my wedding band yet.
I don’t recommend the City Center location. I opted to shop offline because I wanted to experience the in-person service it has to offer. The doorman greeted me nicely when I came in. But I immediately sensed the odd vibe. I cannot describe my feelings, but I saw another person commented the same on her post. It was during the holiday season, and the store was busy. I was not assigned to anyone for at least 10 mins. That’s totally fine. However, when I was assigned, the lady was extremely impatient with me. She asked what I was there for right away. No greetings. She had a grumpy face throughout, and her eyes constantly looking past me when I was talking, like she wanted to immediately jump to the other customer who she might be able to collect a potential transaction quicker. Every of my questions was cut off, and was answered with a short sentence. She didn’t let me finish even once so her answer to me was always wrong and I had to repeat. Clearly, she had an attitude like she wanted to pick a fight with each thing I asked. But I wasn’t being annoying. It was on a weekend, and I came into the store with a relaxing mind. I already got something online, and I wanted to buy something else in person for myself that day. I had nothing to be angry about. When she showed me the last item. She walked away without asking me whether I was done or if I wanted to look at something else. She left to help another person. I was left there staring at her talking to the other customer. Woah, I didn’t want to name the assistant, but it was very awkward. She needs to be called out and be re-trained on Customer Service 101. The busy holiday season is not an exercise. Nothing about this experience was high end. The service was like a drive-through fast food pickup place. The jewelry is alright, not high end in my opinion though it has fine jewelry collections like the others. I won’t be coming back online or offline in the future. Maybe I will even return the online order I already got. I’ve lived above this store for 8 years. I walk past that store all the time but I’ve never be inside. When I finally did, this gave me no reason to go back. I haven’t experienced anything at this level at other stores nearby and I usually go to. I am not sure how long my review will stay here. It seems like all the negative reviews were from few years ago. They don’t have any negative review recently ?! Also, I just saw their Mclean location has a lower point than this location. I wonder why.
I came to the store to purchase specific items I had seen online. They had one of the items in stock so I was able to pick it up that day. The other item they offered to order for me to be delivered to my home in 2 business days. The 2 business days passed and still no item. I checked my online account and there was no record of it. I called them and they couldn’t find the transaction either. This is the first time for me to purchase from David Yurman and I don’t think I will buy from them again. The service is leaves much to be desired.
I love that store and their jewelry. The staff is also very nice and knowledgeable about their product.
Norell helped arrange the purchase and surprise pick up for our daughter's birthday and made it a fun and special experience, exactly as we hoped. The items are little pieces of Yurman art and easily coordinate with each other. Its a high-end store with top quality products and impressive environment. Highly recommend!
