Matthew S came to our home to help us get a new computer set up. Our situation was I had vastly under estimated the amount of knowledge needed to set up a new computer. I had started trying to get this new computer up and running out of the box but I realized that my past experience (from 20 years ago) was not sufficient to set up a new Windows 11 computer and an Epson Ecotank printer on my own. Matthew was very experienced and systematically set up the new equipment, tested it as he went along and showed me how to get started. Matthew Stoumbaugh did an excellent job of (1) reactivating my printer and then doing a thorough review of my entire computer. He solved some problems that I was unaware of and was able to explain everything clearly and helpfully. This was all accomplished within less than 24 hours of my original request for service. I have used Karls Technology since I arrived in Colorado six years ago and highly recommend them!
Timothy Hostetter did a great job helping me choose a new computer system and installing same. He explained everything in layman's terms that I could understand (of course I doubt I'll remember it all!). He also was very helpful explaining the operation of my DVD player. Field Engineer Tim Hostetter was extremely competent and surprisingly pleasant and personable. He was also very thorough; he located the problem (an incompatible driver for the computer internal WiFi, somehow activated during the most recent Windows 11 update), did extensive documentation of the problem, updated the errant driver and went through thorough functional testing. Also reviewed a number of other possible contributing factors. It turned out that our WiFi router was slowing down our access but this was essentially unrelated to the issues which lead us to call for help. But we plan to upgrade the router.
