This was an all around fantastic experience. I couldn’t recommend these guys enough. Our technician Kirklan was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why, while also educating me on a ton of stuff and was able to answer all my questions. After everything was installed he went above and beyond and personally walked me through step by step on how to operate the new generator panel with my equipment to the point where I could do it blindfolded. From the front desk to our technicians they all worked hard to get me taken care of before this big winter storm and now I feel way more prepared. Upfront pricing, no hidden or unexpected charges. What they quote is what you’ll pay even if they run into unforeseen problems. They also do a free home health inspection of your whole house to make you aware of anything else that could be problem later and at least bring it to your attention even if you don’t decide to have them fix it.

I called them to quote: 1) Burying an overhead line to my house which would in turn require an updated electric panel. 2) Manual transfer switch for a generator plug. 3) Running a wire in the same trench to what would be a future detached garage. I had 2 other quotes in the range of $6000 which felt high. Doctor electric was locally recommended, so I gave them a shot. -They give the quote before leaving the site (one of the reasons I lived with the $70 visit fee, have had several contractors simply ghost me after wasting my time). -The tech was thorough and knowledgeable, professional, and clear about all risks & their processes. Took almost 2 hours from arrival to leaving. That is the end of the positives. They quoted the aforementioned work at $29,000 with nearly $11k being trench work alone. This job is ~200ft of trenching. Some local contractors I've spoken with do trenching for $7/ft (so about $1400). I told them this was an outlandish quote, and their only defense is there's shady companies out there ripping people off all the time (ironic huh?) and they are more professional than these other companies because you don't know what you're getting with them. They claimed the other vendors I contacted may not be licensed/insured (which at least according to their websites they are). They were shocked that I declined this job and called me 2 more times asking why I wasn't using them as a contractor. What a waste of $70 for them to show up an offer a ridiculous price. Why quote 29k when you can quote $90k? Seems like they just pull numbers out of thin air. You also are basically required to become a 'member' to make the quote seem more reasonable (in my case knock $4k off). Why do I need to be a member for you to do basic electric contracting work? Do you want me to download an app for my phone too? The estimate has no pricing on it which just screams shady business practices. Maybe they do great work, and that's fine, but I would stay far away from them if it is a simple task like burying an electrical line.
Fantastic to work with! Great communication and Brian (our tech) was the perfect professional. Everyone I interacted with showed they valued me as a customer and listened to my needs. Rates were good and they guarantee no surprises. Work was delivered timely and accurately and good care was taken of my home. Did I mention Brian - what an asset he is! I wish all service companies had his customer relation skills. Highly recommend this company!
