Anna did a great job with my hair! I was worried when I saw some of the reviews, but they were not indicative of my experience. Friendly greeting, prompt service, high quality. I loved my hair. Such a great option when you need something special.
way too over priced with tip expected on top for the mediocre level of service. My biggest issue is that the stylists are pressured most likely by corporate to quickly finish blowouts in a quick amount of time and that means customers leaving the salon with bed head /flyaways. I went to the lead stylist who was friendly but she “finished” my hair and it was fully frizzy at the roots with flyaways. I went home and styled it myself with hot rollers!
Here's a polished version of your experience: --- I had a disappointing experience, horrible during my recent appointment for a blowout. Upon arrival, I noticed four stylists busy blow-drying clients, but the atmosphere felt tense, and no one appeared happy. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I approached the front desk to inquire about my wait time. The staff member began looking around and realized that none of the stylists were close to finishing with their current clients. I explained that I had booked my appointment for 4:45 PM and that my hair was already prepped for the service, so there was no need for a wash. To my surprise, she replied that it wouldn't matter because a blow-dry service typically takes 45 minutes. Given that I had already waited 10 minutes, she implied I would be late for my dinner due to the time it would take for the stylist to see me. I was taken aback by her response. I initially chose this salon because it is conveniently located near my home, but this experience has been the end of me trying this place
I’ve been a loyal DryBar customer for years, but this was my first visit to the Palo Alto location on 10/31 at 12:30 p.m. I arrived early, and the stylist who did my hair was fantastic: professional, kind, and delivered excellent service. Everything was great until checkout, when my experience took a turn. The woman at the front desk gave me a sassy smirk and told me to “hold on.” When she came back, she said, “We usually charge a fee if your appointment goes over, but we’ll waive it this time.” I was completely caught off guard. I had no idea what she was referring to, and nothing during my appointment suggested there was an issue. I asked how I would even know if an appointment “goes over,” and she replied loudly, “Because of your type of hair, you’ll always go over time.” Her tone was rude and dismissive. It was humiliating and felt discriminatory. I do have curly hair, which I always note in my appointment booking, but I’ve never experienced anything like this at any other DryBar. To make matters worse, my hair didn’t even last a full day. I had to touch it up the next morning before the wedding. That interaction completely ruined my day. I’m pregnant and already exhausted, and the encounter left me on the verge of tears. Because of this, I will never return to DryBar and will not recommend it to anyone. Employees should be better trained to avoid discriminatory and disrespectful behavior. Would give this place Zero stars if that was an option.
Horrific experience — unbelievable rudeness and zero accountability I’ve been a loyal customer at Drybar Palo Alto for years. I even have a $99/month membership that includes two blowouts, but I usually go four times a month, paying extra every time. You’d think that level of loyalty would mean something — instead, I had one of the most awful experiences of my life here. On Saturday, October 18th at 5:30 PM, I had an appointment before my early morning flight to Los Angeles the next day. I was invited to film a debate on the famous Jubilee show, and I wanted to get my hair done the night before. When I arrived on time, the front desk girl, Hailey, told me one stylist was a no-show and they were “running very behind.” She claimed she had called me beforehand to let me know — a flat-out lie, proven when I showed her my call history confirming no call from their number. Instead of apologizing, she rolled her eyes and said I could either cancel my appointment or “wait 15 minutes.” I agreed. Those 15 minutes turned into 45 minutes of complete silence. No one approached me, no update, nothing. When I finally asked what was going on, Hailey suddenly lost control — she started yelling that she hadn’t had lunch, was tired, and accused me of being rude. I was stunned. I had been quietly waiting the entire time. She then slammed her chair against the counter and shouted: “My name is Hailey — go ahead and complain to corporate so they can fire me!” At that point, a senior staff member rushed over to calm things down and finally took me in — an hour after my scheduled appointment. My wash and blowout were done hastily, and despite the chaos, they still charged me and expected a tip. When I asked for the store manager’s contact (Karla), the staff initially refused. Only after insisting did they call her. Karla was apologetic but ineffective — she promised to credit my account but never did. As a business owner with over 240 employees, I can say confidently that if any of my staff ever behaved like this toward a customer, they’d face immediate disciplinary action. Yet at this location, disrespect and dishonesty are tolerated from the top down. It’s tragic that a brand built on making people feel good has turned into a place where loyal clients are treated with hostility. Avoid this location at all costs. This place seems to have very exhausted staff who are all overworked and short fused! They are mad at their corporate but yell at the paying loyal customers. Truly shameful :(

Blowouts that make you feel fabulous, every time.
