Wish I could give less honestly. Brought my dog in on a Saturday, after all other vets were closed. Voiced what my concerns were, and what might possibly be the issue. Took him back to X-rays and blood work, came back saying his intestine was bunched up, but WAS NOT A CONCERN to the vet. Gave him anti vomiting medicine, as their only solution. Took my dog to his vet today, they were extremely concerned with his bunched intestine, and did surgery right there. Was told I was lucky he even made it to today. This place almost cost me by bestfriends life.
If I could give negative stars I would, my dog came in presenting seizure like behavior. They said that it was caused by weed and wanted to charge nearly 1000$ after I waited for 3.5/4 hours to be seen. Not to mention No weed is in the house. I took her to another vet for a second opinion the following Monday morning. To which she got diagnosed with a seizure disorder, on her paper work from greater Cinci it says her neurological was normal. So with that being said they clearly just wanted money and to waste my time they didn’t care about actually listening to me and my concerns. At the end of my visit I paid nearly 600$ after sitting in a room for 15 minutes to be asked if she got into weed, prior to that waiting 3/4 hours. Also I refused further treatment and they held my dog from me for another hour with zero communication as to what was going on and why I was waiting. I was told I’d be with you shortly. Absolutely not bring me my pet I’ve been sitting here for nearly 6 hours at this point, you’re joking!
We arrived here late in the evening after my Yorkie was experiencing breathing and comfortability issues. They got us right in and started testing. It was a bit pricey, but to get in as quick as we did was a blessing. They took good care of Bella and were straightforward. Highly recommend them for emergency vet care.
My boyfriend and I brought his dog to this facility yesterday. He was 8 year old all white pitbull with one brown eye and one blue eye. His condition suddenly declined in the span of just a few short days and my boyfriend called the facility yesterday when he came home to lots of vomit that had blood in it. We didn’t know what was going on with him and were worried but hopeful there was something that could help him. The doc ran tests and it came back saying he had pancreatitis and kidney failure. One of the hardest choices to make and most devastating moment of my life. We did not want to leave without him but didn’t want to prolong his suffering. This was such an awful and devastating day. The staff was extremely gently and kind thru out the whole process. We were there for hours but they never rushed us or spoke to us harshly. It was all very gentle and emphatic as we endured this difficult decision. The vet let my boyfriend hold his dog in his arms as he passed and I am so grateful they let him do that and be with his baby till the very end. Staff was patient and very communicative the entire time. His ashes were returned to my boyfriend less than 24 hours after everything happened. We thought it would be a longer wait and were prepared for it to take a week or two. I’m impressed by the speed at which this facility was able to return his remains and now my boyfriend has his baby back with him. Overall the experience was horrifically sad and devastating, but I am thankful for the patient and kind staff helping us thru it all. I would recommend this facility to someone else, they did a good job given the circumstances.
The staff at Wilder were a part of our family for a year and a half. We successfully battled lymphoma as long as we could before it finally had the last say. The onboarding and explanation of our options was excellent. When the Bruners left for Illinois vet school, we appreciated Dr Allyson’s care and attention. As things started to decline, she met with me every visit to determine the best next steps for care. The techs were always competent and kind. We said goodbye to our beloved Yoshi and will miss him terribly. We will miss our friends at the clinic as well. Thank you for all you did for him to keep him going for as long as he could.
