Led by Vivian with over 35 years of experience, our team uses Orton-Gillingham instruction and personalized strategies to fill learning gaps, boost confidence, and help students reach grade-level proficiency. My son who is 9 has been struggling with school since the first grade. I knew he needed giudeance from an educator beyond my knowledge. I found key academic and life coaching from a quick Google search. And I am so glad I choose this team. Vivian and all the tutors we have in our rotation teach my son in different ways and specialize in different subjects. My son who hates school, loves to come to see his tutors. I feel like his confidence is growing in school, and his interest in participating at home with school work has increased. Mrs. Vivian makes me feel comfortable with her knowledge of the school system and knows how to advocate for kids who need extra help in school. My son has been going to Vivian for 3 years now, and I can't say enough good things about how effective it is. Vivian and her team are trained in Orton-Gillingham process instruction; and Vivian has over 35 years experience working with children who have ADHD and almost every learning disability. They pivot during lessons to fill in the learning gaps. The ability to diagnose the reason my son doesn't understand or is having trouble with a concept - and being able to switch tactics or employ a strategy to meet his needs have significantly accelerated his learning. The result has been increased confidence and self-esteem, bringing him to grade-level and getting him to enjoy reading and math more. Vivian cares about my son as a person - and has encouraged me and taught me so much, including how to supplement his learning at home and how to communicate concepts more effectively. I've looked at multiple places and people for tutoring and have found Vivian and her team's training and years of experience to be unmatched in the Spokane area.
Working with Vivian for the past 11+ years has been amazing! I have three daughters that have dyslexia on a sliding scale and all with ADD. My oldest has a severe case of both and will continue with Vivian as she leaves for college in the upcoming years. Needless to say all my girls are A students and with Key Academics help, are successful in all aspects of their lives.
Vivian and her staff have been so incredibly helpful, tutoring our sons. Both of our sons (10 years old) have improved significantly with their help. We feel very lucky to have found her! She has worked wonders with our son who is significantly behind academically due to ADHD and dyslexia, and our second son has made great improvements as well, both academically and socially. We can't recommend them highly enough!
