I flew all the way from Texas to experience a curly cut with Camille. When I used to live in Sac she cared for my locs and now that I’m a loose natural I knew I had to return for my first curly cut. She is INCREDIBLE! The service was extremely informative and efficient. Every chair I sat in was incredibly comfortable, including the wash bowl. She educated me through each step even allowing me to hold up a mirror as she washed my hair to see the technique and how she did it. I was able to feel my hair between steps so I could replicate the results at home. The convo throughout the service was so funny and enriching. Her prices are incredibly reasonable for the service and the price you see is what you pay. I’m really looking forward to scheduling my appointments with Camille when I come into town.

I cannot stop smiling! I hadn't had a professional cut in over 15 years & I'd NEVER had a curly cut or a haircut that allowed me to wear my natural curls. I searched high & low but hadn't found anyone until I found Camille on IG by chance. After looking at every post on her page I knew I needed, not just wanted, but NEEDED to book with her. The consultation wasn't to pick me apart & tell me all the things I'd been doing wrong with my hair. She made it about understanding what my hair goals were to ensure she could provide provide me with the best experience & outcome possible. I felt very comfortable being honest about the missteps I felt I had taken with my hair journey as well as expressing what my goal was. Camille gave useful feedback & assured me it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. Thankfully she had an opening 2 days later & I gladly booked it! I was excited & nervous all at once cause I was afraid I was going to leave her chair looking like a plucked chicken as I didn't have confidence in what my hair was going to do. Camille made sure to address any questions or concerns before we got started, she asked to see some pics of what my hair inspiration was (both videos I showed her were of work she'd done), & she explained everything she was doing through the entire process while educating me on how to do the same to my hair at home. By the end of my appointment I was ecstatic at my final look. This lady here...(trying not to cry lol)...she gave me a feeling & a confidence about my natural hair I haven't had since I was a child. The cut & my curls look BEAUTIFUL. The pics don't even do it justice. I look fly as heck y'all! Thank you Camille for providing an amazing experience & I look forward to continuing my hair journey with you. YES, I booked my follow-up up appointment 2 months in advance cause I can't imagine her being anything other than booked & busy considering the stellar service she provides.

I’m going through a rough time emotionally due to ongoing health condition. It has caused much hair loss over the years and I recently learned I will lose my hair again and this time instead of waiting, I decided I would cut it off in advance. I have been searching for a black woman who specializes in natural hair especially for 4c hair. Camille was everything I have been looking for. She was personable, knowledgeable, and she gave me amazing scalp massage and treatment. Today, I got a hair cut that made me feel beautiful and empowered. She made me feel my hair was special. I attended Camille’s Crown Care experience in June where she gave me so much information on how to properly take care of my hair (crown). I decided to come into her shop for a New Client visit. I was both excited & nervous for my visit. Excited because I came to learn more about my crown & how to properly take care of her. Nervous because this was a new experience for me as I’ve always had extensions in my hair. Camille was so kind in the way she asked questions about my experience with taking care of my hair, what I would like from my hair short term / long term & what I wanted to learn from this experience. I was unsure of the look I wanted for my crown & Camille was very helpful in helping me find a cut that suits me. My nerves were there but calmed as we continue to chat throughout my experience with her. She answered all my questions graciously & went through each step of the hair care process. She made sure I understood each step before moving onto the next. By the end of the experience with Camille , I was filled with new information on how to care for & nourish my crown. She also made sure I had the items needed to properly care of my hair at home. & questions to ask myself on what length fits me ? & I truly love being able to ponder this. Thank you Camille & I cannot wait for my next session to come in 3 months!

Mahogany & Rose was such a joy to walk into. The space alone was so rejuvenating with all of the natural light, plants and calming atmosphere. Denia greeted me with kindness and empathy when I shared that I’ve struggled embracing my natural hair for many years. She explained her entire process as she was caring for my hair and I left my appointment feeling much more confident and thankful for my time spent there. The products that she used are very gentle, organic and non-toxic which was a huge plus for me as well. Camille was also so kind, I noticed how they were both so intentional with spending time with one client at a time. I have a long way to go on my hair healing journey, but am beyond thankful that I found Mahogany & Rose and will be returning again very soon. 10/10 in my book!
