⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ALL THE WAY… This fish store is my favorite fish store not just because of its beautiful fishes that they have but Mark and his crew are awesome people, they are very patient respectful and always listening to your needs. If I ever had any questions or problems that I couldnt figure out with any of my tanks they always helped me figure it out and it always always worked because of there years of knowledge and experience. Highly recommend for anyone that they are interested in the hobby or if they want to start there journey in the hobby. They have everything and anything that you need to get started, anything from fish tanks to stands to filters heaters etc… Check them out you wont regret it 😉
Mark and his crew have been taking care of the Valley and LA's aquarium needs for a long time. He knows what he's doing. The newer location is as clean, well-maintained, and welcoming as the older one. The bonus for me is it's close enough to my house to be dangerous to my wallet. I think I am officially out of room for more tanks...unless we build a second story. When you walk into an LCS, check the tanks. Are they clean? Algae free? Bright? Healthy? Are there "hospital/quarentine tanks" for sick or traded-in fish? If you see ich, is that tank labeled "not for sale"? Is someone maintaining the fish when you walk in? Do the staff talk about certain fish as "my favorite since he got here", or "like a puppy, and I'll be sad when he goes home"? Do they REFUSE to sell you a fish if you tell them your tank parameters and they know it's not right? Do they ASK you your tank parameters if you ask about fish or stocking? When they sell you a complete set up, do the stop you before you buy fish and tell you to cycle it properly before putting in more than fish for a fish-in cycle? These are all signs of a good LFS. Decades ago, I got healthy fish and advice and help from Mark, and, in the last few years getting back into the hobby, that's still the case. I'm just starting my first saltwater tank, a nano reef (That's right, I went all the way to a 150 gallon discus showtank and am now diving into saltwater with a 15 gallon...which is much harder to keep) and Mark and the guys have given me solid advice and suggestions to help me do it properly, and keep the fish and eventually coral, healthy. Though the store seems smaller than others, the tanks are kept immaculate, the fish are healthy, and they can most likely get you the equipment and stock you want if you ask.
Omg. So happy. I found this place again. Since it moved I thought they were gone because of covid. So great to,see mark and his team. I have been going there for about thirty years. The store is still supremely clean. And zero sick. Anything! His selection is both. The usual fish. And he always has a few super rare fish you have never seen .mark has a vast knowledge of both salt and fresh water. With decades of experience. What a pleasure to go see his Aquarium store. Can’t wait to get another tank . See you soon.
The selection of fish is amazing! The workers are helpful and clearly experts! The tanks are sparkling clean and the fish are in wonderful tanks! All the fish are ethically sourced. This is my go to fish store for anything! Highly recommend 11/10
So, funny story. I had to donate two catfish and called Mark's up and he told me he'd be happy to find a new home for them. I asked if I could come by the next day to drop them off as it was getting close to closing time at the fish store. He said that was fine. The next day, I prepare a travel container and manage to transport the two catfish to Marks. I pull up and see a bunch of filming trucks and whatnot and know something is being shot there. So, I park and I walk down the street with my container of catfish and walk into Marks. I was met by one of the film crew asking who I was and what I needed. I told him Mark told me to come by today to drop off these catfish, to which I showed him. He then contacted a fellow crew member to get a hold of Mark as he was in the back office. Another crew member took me around to the back entrance and I was met by Mark and he was happy to see the fish. I explained that I did not know filming was happening, but appreciated him taking these two lovely catfish. He assured me he would find them good homes. I left happy. Please visit this business! From what I was able to see of his store, he's got some amazing fish. With 2 additional catfish that he may or may not still have. Thank you again Mark, you have made a friend of me for life. Keep up the great work!
