Beware of these guys. Repeated screw ups on scheduling and then they send out a technician who starts to pull out a wire and it won't come out. He then is putting a lot of force and it still won't come out but he is now determined to win. I told him to stop and not break it and he looked at me and said "I have to, it is part of the maintenance". I told him that he can't do anything that I refuse and then told him and his home adviser to get out of my house. He even started to argue about leaving and his home adviser had to tell him to button it up and they were leaving. The home advisor then apologized and agreed it was unprofessional for him to refuse my telling him to stop pulling on the wire. This technician was willing to break my furnace and then I would get a repair bill. I will never use Mission again and I work with over 33000 fellow employees and will be happy to share my story.
Josh and Antonio completed my yearly furnace maintenance. They pointed out a couple of issues and fixed it right away. I also brought up a concern that I have mentioned in the past and they found the solution to make the temperature more consistent through out the whole house!
Out of all the plumbing companies we called, Mission Plumbing, Heating & Cooling was the only company who could help us today! Marquies came to our rescue. The toilet drain was clogged. He started on the inside and then had to move to the outside. The drain was eventually cleared due to his knowledge and hard work. He was very personable and professional. Mission Plumbing is definitely our plumber of choice now!
I've used Mission PHC since 2011 to maintain HVAC systems at my home, business, and several rental properties. For the first twelve years their service was top notch, their customer service was attentive, and their proactive nature in scheduling annual maintenance appointments was beyond reproach. I enjoyed working with them, trusted their professional opinions, and appreciated their flexibility and responsiveness. They quality of their work has always been great and I've never questioned their professional capabilities on the work they've performed. Despite the overall negative impression I have, I will defend the actual work they do when they do it; the work product itself has been high quality. Over the last 24 months their customer service has fallen apart. For me, it began when they unexpectedly stopped automatically charging for annual maintenance and asked me to call them if I wanted to reactivate that service. This was annoying but I assumed it was a paperwork mistake and moved on. Largely out of annoyance that they were making me jump through hoops and because they didn't even take the time to make a phone call to simplify the transition, I didn't reactivate it for the next twelve months and just called them when I needed service each time. The following year, I did reactivate during one of my visits but subsequently found they were no longer calling to schedule maintenance (they did, sometimes, send texts) and I had to reach out to them to get the appointments scheduled. Again, annoying, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and accepted that no one is going to care about my HVAC systems with the same level of attention that I would pay them myself. This Spring, I had them out to service units at two properties and they came out and performed service as expected. They followed up that service with a laughable list of "optional but recommended" maintenance items including markups exceeding 60% on some of the recommendations and labor charges that implied exponential allocation of tech hours to the repairs/installs they were proposing. That experience left a very bad taste in my mouth because I knew that none of these items were necessary at the time and I also knew that vulnerable homeowners might see those and feel that they needed to act upon them, to the tune of thousands of dollars. I was genuinely upset to think that my own mother could be taken advantage of by a company like this if she were to receive such as long list of recommendations and not understand what was real and what was exorbitant. Again, however, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on. I spoke with them about my dissatisfaction with that quote and anticipated a follow-up from them that never came. Earlier this week, I called and scheduled my Fall Maintenance and they assigned me appointments for both my HVAC and plumbing checkups. The appointments were arranged with only 7 days lead time and everything seemed great. I adjusted my own schedule so I could be onsite during the appointed window for both properties. This morning, I get a text informing me that they can't meet the appointments they had scheduled and they never should have scheduled them. Their solution was to unilaterally move my appointments to January 19th (nearly a full month from now) before they had even spoken with me in person. I don't usually write online reviews and I don't particularly enjoy giving negative feedback but I've been a long-time and loyal customer and I've repeatedly given Mission PHC the chance to regain my trust and they have failed. Hopefully my experiences are isolated but if they were I think my concerns would have been addressed at one of many opportunities in the last 24 months and I would not be writing this review today.
I called on a chilly Monday morning because our 5yr old furnace refused to light & I have an elderly parent here that is always cold anyway. Another company said Friday was the earliest they could come. MPH&C scheduled us for an "after hours" appointment & came just after 6pm. Christian, the technician, came in, got right to work & 20 minutes we had heat! The total bill was less than the other company's service call fee too! As a retired Realtor I've worked with many HVAC companies over 4 decades in the business, this was excellent service. 5 STARS! I highly recommend MPH&C & kudos to Christian too!
