James came and re-aligned three doors that had been sticking for years, driving me nuts. He was super fast, clean (wore booties and did the door shaving outside), and very nice with my new puppy who was *very* interested in what he was working on. James was able to schedule quickly and was not only on time, but checked in about coming by early! Highly recommend.

James did a marvelous job for us replacing our front door, back door, and closet doors. His quality of work was superior and when he was finished there was no remaining sign of a worksite. James removed all the debris and vacuumed and cleaned. In addition to his work quality, James was prompt, polite, and efficient. Quality and Competence are an unbeatable team! James also knows where his skills are best applied. When offered extra work "outside his lane" as he put it, he politely declined. That only increases one's sense that he can be trusted. Call James. You will not be disappointed.

Update March 2023. James just installed these beautiful built-in cabinets & shelves in my living room area. As usual, his work is top quality. He diligently installed the cabinets, trim, and shelves; protecting my floors and property at all times, and for a reasonable price. No hassle, no stress, just beautiful results. Even after several years, MTC Handyman service continues to be my top choice for handyman work, finish carpentry services and furniture assembly. --- In the last year or so I have hired James in several occasions already: for three big projects and for some smaller tasks. Every single time he has delivered high quality work and displayed great work ethic. James installed all the baseboards in my house, he replaced all the interior doors (installing their hardware and the trim around them), and recently he installed all the cabinets in my kitchen and dining room area including their hardware. In addition to these larger projects, I hired him for smaller tasks such as: fixing my fence door, installing closet doors, caulking windows and a bath tub, hanging mirrors and curtain rods, building a bed, and other minor tasks. James always arrives punctual, he is careful with floors and with the house in general, he is tidy and respectful, and he works diligently during the day. He is upfront about pricing and his prices are reasonable. During the renovation of my home I have dealt with a lot of contractors, and James stands out (by far) as honest, respectful and for standing behind his work. I will hire him for future projects and I recommend him unreservedly.

James is a wonderful handyman! My husband and I hired him to install some interior doors in our quirky 1950s Seattle home. James was very familiar with the original sheet rock/plaster walls. He was was also a tremendous help when we ran into some confusion when working with our supplier for our doors. He found an error on their part and it would have completely screwed up the project! He was very responsive and flexible. He was also very tidy inside the house and was diligent about cleaning up any mess before he left. I would 110% hire him again for any other house project!

James was quick to respond when I requested a quote and came and did an amazing job. We had been wanting to get some built ins done and finally committed to it. We were a little indecisive about what we wanted and James did a great job adjusting as we changed our minds last minute and helped us decide on materials. He was very professional and cleaned up everything. He was easy to work with and I would happily hire him again for any type of project. He had great attention to detail and made sure to do a complete job and not leave any piece out. He checked in with us about options along the way and even put up with our dog and cat wandering through his work area occasionally.
