I cannot thank Alexis and her team enough for planning the most beautiful and seamless baby sprinkle for us! The decor was stunning, the timeline was flawless, and every detail was thoughtfully executed. I gave Alexis a color scheme and she brought my vision to life even better than I imagined. The flow of the event was smooth and every little touch felt so personal and thoughtful. Guests were raving about how lovely everything looked and how well-organized the day was. This was our 3rd baby so I wanted to just let someone take the reins and Alexis did not disappoint. Her and her team took full control and made the entire process stress free. I was truly hands off throughout and it was such a relief to know everything was being handled with such care and professionalism. If you’re looking for someone who can take the reins and create a gorgeous, well-organized event without you having to lift a finger, My Oak City Events is the one to call. I highly recommend Alexis and will absolutely be using her again for future celebrations!!

Let’s put it this way. After booking with Alexis and oak city events we won’t be using anyone else ever again!! Tons of options and venues to choose from; They managed every aspect of my father’s 50th birthday party and made sure that every single detail was exactly how we wanted it from our cake to the decorations to the appetizers to the staff. Everything was absolutely perfect. They went above and beyond to make sure me and my parents had the best possible event ever with family coming out of town all way across from the United States they did everything they could to make it amazing. It was an absolute blast if I could get anything more than five stars, we would again make sure you book this company their top-notch.

Do NOT book your private event with Oak City Events! We hosted our welcome party at The Avenue and it was a disaster from start to finish. Alexis made big promises, but completely failed to deliver. Communication was poor throughout the planning process, and I had to chase her for basic details about our bar package—details she clearly didn’t even know. The day of the event, no one was there at our scheduled drop-off time, forcing us to leave décor outside unattended. When we arrived to set up, nothing was where we had agreed during our walkthrough. The champagne wall wasn’t up, welcome table was missing, and the bar menus Alexis designed weren’t out. Then she lied and claimed those signature drinks suddenly weren’t included in our package (despite previously confirming they were in writing) and the bar didn't even have the right ingredients for them. Our event started and guests arrived before setup was complete. The staff put champagne in wine and whiskey glasses (when our contract clearly states we'd get champage glasses), our slideshow wasn’t playing, and the “complimentary desserts” we were promised never appeared. AND the WORST part- A sober and pregnant guest was served alcohol when she ordered a Shirley Temple! HOW does that even happen?!? That is beyond negligent and dangerous, there is NO excuse!! Alexis blamed me (the bride) for the confusion and chaos, when I was the only one keeping the day on track and her team clearly dropped the ball. She was nowhere to be found when guests arrived, despite promising she’d be there to greet them and hand out drink our tokens. Bottom line: they’re disorganized, dishonest, and unprofessional. Save yourself the stress—do not book your event with them!

Alexis and Leah were fantastic from start to finish! Being a regular patron at Devolve, I figured there would be no better place to host our company holiday party. After reaching out, they were quick to respond and line everything up within our budget. The event ran smoother than I could've ever imagined. Looking forward to using them next year!

My Oak City Events is simply the best! Alexis is absolutely amazing. She has been incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring every detail was exceptional before, during and after the event. She helped bring our vision to life and I appreciate and respect her input and feedback as well. Alexis was always one step ahead, anticipating potential challenges and addressing them before they could impact the day. Leah also played a big part in brightening our event with a warm smile and photography skills that are very impressive. I highly recommend using Alexis and Leah for anyone who is looking to plan a seamless and memorable event. I'm so excited to plan many more events with My Oak City Events and Alexis!
