About 3 weeks ago we took our sick doggie to this vet cliniic because they were open on a Sunday when our regular vet was not. We found out our dog had liver disease and was very ill with it. After spending about 800 for x-rays and pills told us to call them if she wasn't better in a couple of days. 2 days later she passed away at home. Being distraught and not knowing what to do, since this had never happened before, we called them since they were closer to our home than our regular vet, we brought her to their clinic to have her cremated. During our last goodbyes we had specified we wanted to save some of her fur and we wanted to pay extra for a foam pawprint of her as well. We said goodbye to our baby of 11 years and left. A few days later we picked up her cremains. After checking everything we had, normal pawprints, nose prints on paper, and her cremains, there was no fur, no foam pawprint. I called the office and told them no fur, no foam pawprint the girl at the front I talked to did not apologize or was not empathetic at all, put me on hold for 15 minutes came back and said the girl who had done the stuff for our dog should be in tomorrow and would call me, once again no apology etc. The next morning I woke up to a text by Cassie, didn't have the decency to even call me and had no freaking idea what I was talking about and obviously the info she received from the other front desk girls was not correct. She texted I did the pawprints on paper for her and we have her blanket you brought her in with if you want that, no apology no empathy, said you can call the office with any questions. I called the next day spoke with Cassie told her we had the paper pawprints, she said I dont see anything marked for the fur and do see you wanted the foam pawprint, once again no empathy or compassion is her voice it was like oopsie we forgot to give you something. She then put me on hold for 20 minutes finally the office manager, Matt Forney answered and said there was a miscommunication and the foam pawprint was not done, MISCOMMUNICATION, really, wow, you royally messed up and once again no empathy no compassion. Told him about the fur and he was like I did not know about the fur. So obviously the girls forgot to mention that to him. So you do have a miscommunication at your office which in turn took a horrible sad situation of our fur babies last moments we could have had a more of her and you totally screwed it up!! I said there is no going back since she is gone. He then said here is what I am going to do, give you your 17.00 back at this point could of cared less, and give you a credit on your account, A CREDIT FOR WHAT, MY DEAD DOG!!. I told him didn't want the credit, never going there again and writing bad reviews for this place. Once again no empathy. Put me on hold for another 10 minutes for the girls upfront to put money on my card, the girl got my info no apology etc and let me know she couldn't actually do it but someone else would process it and I hung up. Never in my life would I have thought a vet clinic would be so unorganized, have no empathy or sympathy regarding a pets passing and just sum it up as a miscommunication. I would never trust this place with the passing of any pet, a pure disgrace! They are worth a no star rating.
Best Veterinary clinic in Lincoln! They’re well staffed and care so they almost always get you in same day! They’re well staffed staff friendly, caring, and knowledgeable! Their vets are knowledgeable, experienced, quick thinking when needed but also precautionary and preventative regarding your animals health. My big Pitty loves going there, he treats it like a play date or a “meet new friends” gathering lol! Seriously though, their youthful and energized approach sets them apart in a city full of old establishments, high prices, and multiple day waits. Just sayin… trust your boy!
I appreciate how quickly I can get an appointment at NAMC without waiting weeks. The staff members are exceptionally friendly on the phone and cheerfully greet you and your pet every time you come in. The Vet team and their assistants show their care by listening attentively to details about the pets and by asking thoughtful questions in response to the owners' concerns. Working together, they seem thorough and pragmatic and know folks love their pets, but sometimes wonder about costs, so they work to provide the best recommendations. I'm very grateful for the phone call from the DVM that follows office visits that require tests or treatments, because you can ask further questions directly, feel reassured about the care plan, or make changes if needed. I especially appreciate Dr. Frye and Jared Hrabik, and personally know their compassion for treating "all creatures great and small."
I rushed my dog to Nebraska Animal Medical Center in an emergency, terrified and desperate for help, only to be told they “only take appointments.” Hearing that while my dog was suffering was beyond heartbreaking. Emergencies don’t run on schedules, and a true veterinary hospital should understand that. Turning away an animal in crisis shows a lack of compassion and responsibility that I will never forget. I trusted this place to be there when it mattered most, and instead I was left scrambling to find real help.
All 5 of these stars are more than deserved to the absolutely amazing staff who took care of my baby, Chester, at his passing. They handled it with so much grace and specifically one person, who unfortunately I did not catch her name, but she was absolutely amazing and I will forever be grateful to her. This absolutely wonderful human being took such sensitive and gentle care of my boy and even after he was officially gone, she reassured us through the process that we were making the best possible call in an absolutely horrible situation and after our last goodbye, she took him so gently in her hands and pet his forehead like he was her own. Chester was the sweetest rat ever and deserved the most perfect and gentle goodbye and she allowed that to happen and I'm incredibly thankful that the last person to hold him and love on him was her. She let us know she'd had rats previously and made us feel a sense of community and made sure we could let any emotions out that we needed to and waited in the room with me while I cried having to fill out tough paperwork. While I may not know her name, I hope this gets to her and she knows I will be forever grateful to her and that she is amazing and picked the right profession, you deserve only the most amazing things. Thank you so much for your tact and professionalism.
