via Google It's hard to put into words how much this school meant to us as a family, but I will try.
Our daughter attended this school since she was 7 months old until she was almost 5 years old (2021-2025). Our son attended for a little less than a year until we had to move outside of Houston. In the four years we spent a this daycare, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. No place is perfect, but Oak Forest Academy really tries to get it right. Our children were loved and cared for. Our daughter was writing her name and knew all her letters at 4 years old. She was excited for the various activities, her friends, and her teachers. The various activities provided at the school really fostered a fun and playful learning environment.
This school fosters a sense of community like no other. Parent groups helped keep open communication with the school and the school handled feedback from parents really well. As new parents, we were able to make great friends and really feel a part of a community here. This was so important since our first born was born during COVID.
Both of our kids dealt with various allergies and this school was able to accommodate and provide alternatives. The meals were nutritious and our kids loved them. The Chef is wonderful and open communication with the classrooms, admin, and kitchen helped keep our kids safe despite dealing with various allergies.
From the minute you park, you are greeted by the school security that helps keep our kids safe. This provides so much peace of mind. The teachers are wonderful and genuinely care for your kiddos.
Both of our kiddos grew and learned so much here, especially our daughter. She talks about OFA often and how much she misses it. I know the waitlist can be frustrating, but this is truly a wonderful place to send your kids and worth the wait. I have searched high and low for a similar place in our new city and have yet to find something that compares.
Thank you OFA for four wonderful years! We miss you dearly!

Kaylan Smithvia Google We have been parents of Oak Forest Academy kids for almost two years now. We really love the school. The school goes above and beyond with programming (fall festival, summer special programming with HMNS - one example, Grandparents/Mother's/Father's day celebrations, enrichment opportunities, and extracurricular partnerships) to feel like we are part of a community. As with any early childhood education center, the experience is very much about the quality of teachers and caretakers. We have been fortunate to have some incredible teachers with OFA, many of whom genuinely love our kids and continue to have relationships with them after they've left the classroom. We have attended other school/early childhood places in the past, but OFA is definitely among the best. The staff and teachers do care and it shows. The provided meals are also excellent quality, and the school was flexible to accommodate speech therapy schedules and even allow the SLP to come to the school. The environment for older children is more structured and aligned with traditional public school teaching. The facility is fairly new and recently went through extensive renovations. They have a great on-site garden and playground.
If you are looking for Montessori, OFA may not be the best fit. If I had any complaints, it is that OFA employs a progress reporting system that often didn't have much explanation, but was universally filled out for each kid anyways at a quarterly cadence. I think the reports are helpful, but they weren't explained in advance or sent home with any additional context or information. This is a very, very minor complaint.
Overall, we have loved OFA and would recommend it highly to anyone! OFA is a great place with some incredible teachers.

Kelly Avenvia Google Our children have been at OFA for two years and we have been impressed from day one. Mia is responsive, organized, and clearly has the best interest of the children in the forefront. The teachers are wonderful and incredibly engaging. There is wonderful communication not only through the app, but the teachers are eager to discuss the day and what they worked on with the kids. The facility is exceedingly clean and provides an amazing learning environment. OFA is such a nice little community from the entire staff to all of the families. We know our kids will be well prepared for elementary school.

Jennifer LaForgevia Google We have been lucky enough to be part of the Oak Forest Academy community since it opened in 2020. Our daughter just completed the kindergarten bridge program and has had the most wonderful and loving teachers every step of the way. Your child will learn and grow through the expansive offerings that include gardening, cooking classes, and Spanish! There are lots of fun community activities for the family, as well as volunteer opportunities. OFA is very well run and they do a great job communicating with parents. They also utilize an app that allows you to see what your child is working on each day, and include pictures of various activities. The staff, administration, and teachers have exceeded our expectations on every level. We love this sweet school and could not recommend it more!!!
