I took my wedding gown to Only One. At my initial fitting, we discussed shortening the length, taking in the top, adding a bustle, adding some support up top, and adding buttons. My second fitting was mostly fine, but when I asked about the support we discussed I was told it was not possible? At this point I didn't have much choice but to continue without it. I did not get a final fitting. They woman before me arrived to her appointment late and instead of rescheduling her, they allowed her to take my appointment slot. They told me I could just take the dress or come back another time. Since I had other appointments that day and the dress still needed to be cleaned, I didn't have any option besides to take it home without a final fitting - with their assurances they would fix any issues later. Boy was that wrong. When I got the dress, no bustle was added and the top was about 3 inches too big. I brought the dress back as soon as I got it from the cleaners. To Only One's credit, they fixed a hole left by the cleaners and added the bustle (both for additional charges). But when I asked to fix the top, I was told by the seamstress "I have to get on the road." Thank goodness for safety pins (that had to be edited out of photos) and tape. For $1500 you would expect not only a dress that fits, but the opportunity to try it on. Also, keep in mind they do not offer steaming or cleaning, so you'll need to make additional appointments for those (but allow extra time since you may not get a final fitting on time).
Amazing customer service! I had a pair of jeans that I needed to pick up sooner than expected and they were kind enough to accommodate me. I live in Georgia but only take my clothes here as the quality of their work is top notch!
Excellent customer service. Genuine and personable. The oversized “fabric” I brought in actually IS a dress!! A formal dress for a convention that I’ll be proud to wear. I’ll also be matching 25 other people and I’m not afraid!! Thank you so very much-my cousin’s recommendation was spot on-you had mended her cashmere sweaters!
I needed to get pockets put into a dress for an upcoming event. Everyone was so professional but also sweet and kind! I loved going there!
My daughter’s prom dress has very an intricate beaded design all over. The waist was too big and train a little too long. I was worried that it would be difficult to alter because there are no sides seams to take in. I researched as much as possible to find the most experienced and highly recommended tailor in the Nashville area. Only One Tailoring did not disappoint! It was very easy to make an appointment online. The price was very reasonable. In just a few weeks time, they were able to get the perfect fit in the waist without distorting the beaded design. You cannot tell it was ever any different. The tailor listened to my daughter explain how she wanted the train and it’s perfect as well. Each bead on the dress near the alterations had to be hand sewn. We could not be more pleased with the results. Only One Tailoring will be our go-to place for dress alterations from now on. My only caveat is to say you should always wait for the text message saying it’s ready before you go to pick up your item. I went back too soon (the date on my receipt) and it wasn’t ready so I had had to return the next morning. But that was only a slight inconvenience and totally worth it for such a perfect alteration.
