Loved trying this new gem! I went for some appetizers + drinks with girlfriends and it was all delicious! Cocktails were unique and balanced, and each dish had so much flavor. Pictured is the tuna tartare (my personal fav), salmon crudo, and empanadas. We also got the Patagonia salad and the beef carpaccio which was prepared tableside and elevated the experience. Very attentive service and excellent recommendations from our waiter. Loved the ambiance as well. Definitely want to go back for happy hour and to explore the entrees!
I rarely write reviews; however, I believe it is important to share feedback when an experience falls short of reasonable expectations. I selected Piedra Santa Restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday and noted this in the reservation. Unfortunately, the level of service was lacking. The server did not acknowledge the special occasion and did not return to our table after the food was delivered to ensure everything was satisfactory. The first cocktail I ordered, Rosario Rosario was not well prepared, and the replacement Cobra Clutch was even less enjoyable. We also ordered half a dozen oysters from the happy hour menu, which did not appear fresh. For our main courses, we ordered three prime steaks cooked medium well; however, all were served well done. The only positive aspects of the meal were the rustic bread and the bone-in ribeye ordered by the birthday guest. Overall, this dining experience was disappointing and did not reflect the quality or attention to detail one would expect. Regrettably, based on this visit, I would not recommend this establishment.
I booked a Christmas Day dinner reservation here through OpenTable. The process was easy and flexible, which I appreciated since I needed to reschedule and had no issues or penalties. I chose the Christmas three-course menu, which included an appetizer, main course, and dessert for $85. Patagonia Salad: Easily one of the most disappointing salads I've had. It sounded great on paper, and the presentation was beautiful, but the dressing was heavy and tasted cheap. Overall, it felt like a dressed-up grocery store salad. Bife Ancho: Ordered medium rare. Unfortunately, it was very chewy. The flavor was fine, but it was far from memorable and honestly one of the weaker steaks I've had. Panacotta: Light, smooth, and delicious. This was the standout of the meal and the best thing I ate all night. The wine list is excellent, with a great selection at very reasonable prices. Service was phenomenal. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Parking was also easy, which is a plus. That said, I left extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, especially given the price and my expectations going in. The experience around the meal was great, but the food itself did not live up to it.
My boyfriend and I came for happy hour and stayed for dinner. Food and drinks were delicious and the service was impressive! Highly recommend Piedra Santa for date night or stopping by for happy hour. Happy hour - We enjoyed the empanada trio and cocktails. Dinner - We ordered from their dry age steak menu. You can also check out that selection as their dry aging room is on display. We shared the 20oz bone in ribeye and it was incredible. Cooked perfectly to temp and the marbling after the dry aging was esepcially flavorfull. We ended up ordering the filet as well to get a taste of another cut, which was delicious as well. We're planning to try the wagu menu on our next visit! Ambiance and decor were on point. The dining area and bar area were lively for a weeknight. Apart from our food/drink, our server Riva was top knotch. She checked in on us frequently, provided great recommendations, and overall stellar service which really made the night for us. Thank you Piedra Santa and your amazing team for a great dining experience!
We came to Piedra Santa for my brother’s birthday, and for $500 for two people, the experience was honestly underwhelming. They did put a small Happy Birthday card on the table, which was a nice touch — but that was the only acknowledgment. No dessert, no candle, no gesture from the staff. For a place at this price point, that felt bare-minimum and a little disappointing. Food review: •Charred Caesar Salad: Around an 8/10 flavor-wise, but still not something I’d ever order again. It needed more char, the dressing tasted oddly off, and the biggest issue — the croutons were stale. Like old, soft, noticeably stale. It made the whole salad feel like an afterthought. •Beef Carpaccio: Delicious. One of the only solid hits of the night. •Tomahawk Steak: Good and cooked well. The chimichurri sauce was probably the best part of the entrée. •Mac & Cheese: Completely bland. Basically just béchamel with noodles. No cheese flavor at all. For the cost, this was a huge letdown. •Chocolate Soufflé: My brother liked it, but it wasn’t anything special. The server hyped it up like it was going to be a molten, lava-style soufflé and it just wasn’t. It was fine — nothing more. For a $500 dinner for two, I expected consistency, flavor, and an actual sense of occasion. Instead, it ranged from mediocre to bland, and aside from the carpaccio and steak, nothing really stood out. Not worth the price and not somewhere I’d return for a special celebration.
