I got ripped off! I feel I was taken advantage off. Based on their online presence, I thought I was dealing with a reputable Company. The scheduler disclosed a $200 trip charge, but implied that if I accepted service it would be forgiven. When I asked the technician about it, he said, "Why wouldn't we charge you for that." I was charged a total of $638.00 for 2 hours of his time. He was pleasant and took my money with a smile, but didn't accomplish what I had called him out to do, which was to do a meter trace to determine if my electric bill was accurate. He took the panel off of my main breaker box and tested electricity amps being generated for several appliances and lights in my store and advised me to call Xcel Energy to come out. Net net, he accomplished nothing, but agreed that there appeared to be something wrong. I called their office to attempt to dispute the bill. I was promised a call back, but did not receive one. They present professionally and are pleasant, but if integrity and fairness matter to you, move on. They are very greedy and will charge you top dollar!
Very pleased with service. Greg arrived within a couple hours of my call which was perfect. He calmly explain his approach to troubleshooting our issue and then got us up and running soon after. Will definitely recommend this technician and Randy’s Electric in general.
Mike did an absolutely fabulous job providing me with a quote to replace my hot water heater. He was very thorough. He made sure that my units were correctly installed, verified the hardness of my water and question me about my maintenance history. I had Greg Swenson in first an annual electrical review and again, I was very pleased with his response and feedback. I had a couple of questions about 2 outdoor outlets that seem to trip when I don’t want them to. He investigated the situation and offered a few solutions to the issue. I will try those options before we do a major overall of them. I asked him about putting an outdoor outlet up on my garage gable for hanging a lighted wreath and about permenant lighting. When I decide to go with them I’ll definitely be calling Greg to do the work. Outstanding service!
Richard and his apprentice were kind and open to any questions I had. I didn’t mind the $75 fee for the initial assessment because I thought I would be using their business. Unfortunately, I feel like I paid $75 to get the rug pulled out from under me. I needed some CT metering installed for a new water heater and the quote was 5 times higher than what I expected…I asked around and there wasn’t a single person who understood why it would be so expensive. I found a few other companies who would do the work for a fraction of the cost. Simply put: They are nice guys and they are straight forward about their pricing. However, it seems they must be a top-tier company for top tier clientele, which is just too much for me.
