The tour was the perfect way to see Seattle. This was definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had in the city! First of all, the crew is the nicest group of humans ever assembled on a floating vessel. I was personally greeted by the captain, who was so friendly that I briefly wondered if I had accidentally signed up to join the crew. The entire team made the trip feel warm, relaxed, and genuinely fun. The tour cruised through the harbor and then out into Elliott Bay, where we saw sea lions casually relaxing like they owned the place, massive container ships, and a skyline so spectacular it made me think, “Sorry New York, Seattle just won this round.” Along the way, the crew shared a bunch of fun and fascinating facts about Seattle; the kind of stories you won’t find in a guidebook, unless that guidebook has a really great sense of humor. The boat itself? Brand new, spotless, and smoother than a triple-filtered cold brew. If you want breathtaking views, friendly humans, sea lions with star-quality attitude, and a tour that’s equal parts relaxing and entertaining, Salish Sea Tours is an absolute must.
This is the best tour in Seattle in my opinion (4th generation Seattleite speaking). It provides a fantastic overview of the city, both visually from the water as well as the narration which is informative and fun. The boat is beautiful and comfortable and the souvenir sippy cups for drinks are so fun. Don't miss out on this wonderful tour!
Great one-hour boat tour! We hadn’t planned to take one, but as we were passing by and saw there was a departure about to leave, we decided to hop on - a spontaneous decision we didn’t regret. We really enjoyed the tour. It was informative and a fantastic way to see Seattle from the water. Definitely recommend it.
the one hour tour was so fun! the staff were nice and welcoming, the views impressive, the atmosphere relaxing, and the narration entertaining. there are drink bars indoors and upstairs on the deck, and there are restrooms, too. because it gets super cold and windy out there, bring some warm layers for a more comfortable and enjoyable boat ride. best views of seattle 👍
Visiting from San Diego and absolutely had to check out a boat tour. This was definitely a highlight of our week long trip. We bought our tickets online for a Monday afternoon. There were a few other couples but not crowded and plenty of seating. At one point we had the whole upper deck to ourselves I enjoyed all the facts and the history narration. It was very chilly so I recommend laying up. If you get too cold there is a spacious inside deck. Full bar, drink was strong and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. One negative I will point out is the blaring Top 40 pop music that plays in between narration. I would have much rather enjoyed the ambiance than be met with Taylor Swift tracks while cruising the Puget Sound. Still a 5-star experience overall!
