My furnace stopped working on a Friday night at 5:00. Not the best time for this to happen especially when the temperature is in the 20’s. I called Sears and they said they would be out Monday morning at 8:30. At 8:30 they were here. The two young men who replaced the furnace were friendly as well as very professional. Had everything finished by 12:30. We have used Sears before and have never been disappointed. We highly recommend them.
In a word, Wally was outstanding. Very polite. Extremely knowledgeable. Spent 1.5 hrs educating us on our systems. Made a major adjustment to make our furnace more efficient. Also performed a safety check on our gas fireplace, thus giving us confidence to use it. We'll be Sears customers for a long time.
On a Monday, a Sears Heating & Cooling Technician gave me the bad news that my 21 year old furnace required about $1,000 in repairs. I decided to replace it. That Thursday, a salesman, Jamey, came by and gave me a written quote for systems from American Standard, Payne & Bryant. The prices were reasonable and Jamey was able to answer all of my questions. I chose an American Standard high efficiency furnace and it was installed the next day (Friday) by Blake & Andre. They showed up promptly at 8:00 am and had the old system removed and the new one installed and tested by 3:00 pm. Blake & Andre were polite, professional and answered all my questions. They disposed of the old system and did a nice job with cleanup. My entire experience with everyone at Sears Heating & Cooling (including the office Manager Carly) was fantastic. They were all easy to work with and I really felt like they valued me as a customer. I highly recommend Sears Heating & Cooling for your heating & air conditioning needs. Great job!
I am not typically inclined to leave negative reviews; however, I believe it's important to share my experience to help others make informed decisions. Sears Heating & Cooling installed a heat pump in the third-floor guest suite of my home. I was told that the technician assigned was their most experienced and longest-tenured employee. Regrettably, the installation was not done properly and without an emergency shut-off, ultimately causing significant damage. While I acknowledge that errors can occur, the company’s response was more than disappointing. They offered to cover the cost of repairs, and the account manager, Bryan Meier, remarked that I should be “grateful” for this concession. When I requested a discount to offset the disruption, he instead proposed removing the equipment entirely. This led to four consecutive days of contractor activity and considerable mess, with no offer to assist with cleanup. Following the drywall repair, Sears filed an insurance claim and subsequently disengaged from the situation, leaving the remaining restoration work incomplete. I am now left to manage the aftermath with hopes the insurance payout will cover the rest of the work. Prospective customers should be aware: the company presents a courteous front, but when complications arise, they will show their true colors.
Sebastian W was absolutely amazing. He looked at my disconnect and realized there was A major issue. He suggested having an electrician come and look over the issue. Once that was fixed, Sebastian returned and went over my options of repair or replacement. I feel that Sebastian took care of me and my home with care and respect. I am so appreciative of his help and kindness. He is one of the major reasons I have stuck with Sears Heating and Cooling for 30 years. Jerry S. Is absolutely amazing. He took on my install as A second one in A day. He went above and beyond with all the issues that kept arising.
