Black mold and severe water damage everywhere. My Asthma is not happy. It's actually given me really bad Asthma & chest issues. Thanks. Post their response. I have below added pictures of some of the Black Mold one section of the severe water damage. The fact that you just outright lied to me in an effort to gaslight is crazy to me. You walk into the main hall and the damp mouldy air hits you in the face. Ive had a chest infection all last week and this week. I've been really unwell. Also the fact that over 10+ people that day fully complained about the venue to organisers is crazy that you haven't received anything. Well as they say, pictures speak a thousand words. 👍
went there for a craft beer festival. July 12th the atmosphere was brilliant. everyone is so thoughtful, as I'm a seventy year old, there were so many people offering me their seats and looking out for me. it was really special. the temperature was fenominal. bur with access to the street to cool off worked well. the next beer festival, is in the winter. but it's a wonderful experience, beer wise and the music, covered all generations. I'm looking forward to attending again in a few weeks time. a wonderful day out👍🎹🎸🎸🎼🎶🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻
Attended a concert at this location. Looked rather disappointing from the outside- like an old abandoned building. The inside was not exciting either. Feels like they've gone just enough for it to be open but no more. Positive- toilet was clean when I used it but got in quite early so don't know if that was the reason. Positive- there's a nice mural on the opposite building 😄
Massive thank you to Fiona, Sue, and the lovely lady in the bathroom. I honestly can’t thank these amazing women enough. I lost my bag and was completely panicking, but Fiona and Sue were just incredible — so calm, kind, and genuinely helpful. The lovely lady working in the bathroom was also so sweet and reassuring. I felt completely looked after at a time when I really needed it. They didn’t just help me find my bag — they made me feel safe and cared for, and that meant everything. In a world where people can sometimes rush past each other, they took the time to really help, and it honestly restored my faith in humanity. I’m so grateful to all of them and just wanted to say a big thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’re all amazing and I will always remember your kindness 💕💕
I recently held a live music event at this venue, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Firstly at it's sheer size. It can hold around 800 people, maybe more as I understand it. The venue manager (John) went out of his way to help our event run smoothly. We had access to barriers and partitions which really helped us to adapt the venue specifically to our requirements. The venue has 13, 32 and and 63 amp power outlets which we definitely needed. We were even loaned a couple of adaptors so we could plug our equipment in. We also had access to an electric scissor lift so we could install our lighting rig as well. There are lots of seats, mainly of the wooden bench type and lots of tables as well. Loading in and out is made easier by being able to drive your vehicle into the main event area. There was also a nice adjustable 4 metre by 4 metre stage that you can configure into different shapes. We went with square in the end. Parking can be a little 'dodgy' if you don't arrive early but I had to leave the venue for 45 minutes during the event and when I came back, I was able to park within 5 minutes walk of the venue, and I was driving a large long wheel base van at the time. You are allowed to park in the parking permit areas near the venue after 6pm, but I would strongly advise that you ask just in case the parking restrictions change in the area. There are a few car parks in the local area, a bit further away from the venue, but the distances aren't too unreasonable in my opinion, especially as the weather was quite decent as I recall. There is also a bar adjacent to the main event area. In conclusion. My experience of The Secret Space was positive. It wasn't perfect, but it certainly fitted our requirements. Angus Jones
