I nearly missed the extension deadline, but this team came through with exceptional service. I dropped off my tax documents on the afternoon of October 13, and by October 14, I received an email from Brandon confirming that my taxes were ready. Early the next morning, on October 15, he followed up to remind me to complete the signing process so my taxes could be filed on time. I ran to the downtown Garland office and there was Lois who took care of everything else. That level of responsiveness and attention to detail is rare. This was, by far, the best experience I’ve had with tax preparation—and they even saved me money. I highly recommend this group.
Um. Why did I wait so long??? I literally cannot say enough good things about this company. I never realized that there is a difference in a tax accountant vs a tax advisor. For years, I did my own taxes because when I would talk to accountants, they really weren’t doing much more than I could do with TurboTax. But then… the Shatley Group… They know their stuff. I was not the most organized but they were able to take my convoluted mess and help me get everything filed. Worth EVERY penny. They saved me enough that it more than paid for their services. Moving forward, they will be handling everything for us. They handled our taxes but we will be using them to setup estate planning as well. Seriously, if you have had any doubts or question about the value of a great advisor, doubt no more. I put them on par with a great doctor, mechanic, etc. Those who keep you healthy and working. Worth every penny.
