Came to get a link taken out of my father’s watch and was told they wouldn’t help unless it was brought for a repair and it would be at least 1.5 weeks. I was planning to pay to get it polished after and search for a watch of my own, but will take my business elsewhere. The salespeople could definitely use some work on customer service skills.
A big thank you to Kenny and the crew at Shaw's for getting my Omega put back together after it was damaged. They do great work at a fair price and even worked with my insurance company I have been a customer of Shaw's for 30 years. They're the best in the business!!
During my visit to Shaw’s Jewelry, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the salesmen, who appeared to be more concerned about earning his commission than providing good service or taking responsibility for his mistakes. I clearly stated to him, with my driver present, that I wanted a 14K Geneva rope watch. The store didn’t have it. I tried on different other ones that was too tight on my arm as their 14K model was too tight on my arm. While there, I also noticed a pair of earrings I liked. The salesman quoted me a price, but I wasn’t allowed to handle or try them on myself he hadn't even take them out of the case for me. I could only look at them briefly, and hold the case near my ear and he stated they were double loop 14K gold earrings. Since I wasn’t permitted to try them on, I trusted his word and judgment. I also saw a ring I liked and told him I wanted both the earrings and the ring. The purchase was made, and I left the store feeling confident in my selections. When I arrived home, I placed the jewelry in my safe at home. Later, on Sunday when I tried the earrings on for church, I realized the clasp was too short and I just had seen that right then and there. I didn’t take them out of the case I observed that it was too short. So I closed it and put it back in the safe up. I became disappointed in myself for not noticing earlier but also frustrated that I hadn’t been informed about this issue by the salesman. I changed my outfit and jewelry, called my driver, and returned to Shaw’s Jewelry to speak with the same salesman and explain the problem. When I showed him the earrings, he didn’t even look at them and simply told me that it was my problem. I asked if I could exchange them for another pair of equal value, exchange for something else, or even repaired but he refused. At that point, I told him I would take care of the issue myself and left the store feeling hurt and disrespected. As an 76 visually impaired widow, I felt disrespected, unprotected, and taken advantage of. I felt that my integrity had been questioned and that I was taken advantage of. I trusted that the salesman would treat me fairly, knowing my limitations and that I was relying on his honesty. Instead, I was met with indifference and accusations when I simply tried to resolve the issue. I did not keep the earrings for more than a week, yet I was met with accusations implying that I was dishonest. This experience left me deeply disappointed and uncomfortable with how I was treated as a paying customer. I am simply asking for what is reasonable: a full refund. Customers are allowed to return far more expensive purchases even high end cars when there is a problem. There is no reason I should be denied a refund for jewelry that was sold to me under poor circumstances and without transparency. I hope Shaw’s Jewelry will do the right thing and process my refund without further delay.
I was very impressed by the excellent customer service when I brought in a vintage bracelet for a little tune-up. I regret that I didn't get the gentleman's name who assisted me, but he was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend Shaw's to anyone in the market for fine jewelry.
My grandfather in law worked with Erick to customize a ring for me. Truly meaningful ring, since it was my grandmother in law's ring. They replaced a few diamonds with my children's and my birthstone. I then went to get the ring resized. It only took a few days, and I am very happy with how it turned out.
