Don't bother. After almost 2 years my child got no real value from this so called performing arts school. They "employ" 17 year old students to look after the young ones, they're not equipped for this level of responsibility. They see you simply as a pay check, the only real coaching they do is for their star performers. Their communications and finance processes are dismal and owners are some of the rudest I've dealt with. We tried to make it work but ultimately, after my child was fasly accused of bad behavior and they gave away her part in the upcoming show, we decided to leave and focus on other valueable classes and experiences for our child. Save your money, do not send your kids here!!
We just wanted to say a big thank you to Sepac, and especially to Hannah, for everything you’ve done and continue to do for our two girls. It’s been such a comfort knowing they’re in such a safe, supportive environment—and we’ve seen such a big change in our eldest in particular. She’s really grown into herself, and her confidence and mental health have genuinely changed for the better. It’s been amazing to see her come out of her shell and feel good about who she is. A lot of that is down to the care and support she’s had from you all. It’s clear this is more than just a place to go—it’s a space where she feels understood, supported, and able to be herself. We’re so grateful for everything you do. It’s made a massive difference to our family.
Hannah is an amazing singing teacher! She’s encouraging, knowledgeable, and makes every lesson fun and productive for my daughter. The confidence of my daughter has improved so much since working with her. Highly recommend!
This is the first negative review I’ve ever written. I’m not someone who seeks conflict, but I feel a responsibility to speak up about what happened, because as a parent, I left this experience feeling silenced, dismissed, and genuinely concerned. I enrolled my daughter at Studio Empire Performing Centre in January. When I first saw the rehearsal space, I was disappointed. It was essentially a warehouse, cold concrete floors, a roller door, and no equipment, mirrors, or anything resembling a proper theatre school. But the front waiting area was beautifully styled, and my impression at the time was that they had just moved in and hadn’t finished setting up. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. Two full terms passed. After the school holidays, we returned for Term 3, and the rehearsal area was exactly the same. No progress. No changes. During my daughter’s first class back, I stood on the nicely carpeted waiting area while the children were doing floor exercises on the freezing concrete, laying down with their faces pressed to it. In the middle of winter. That moment made it painfully clear where the studio’s priorities were, appearances over student wellbeing. I raised my concerns respectfully, but instead of listening, the owner told me, “You will be quiet now and listen to me.” She didn’t acknowledge anything I had said and immediately went into excuses, saying “we are a small business.” I responded, “Being a small business doesn’t give you the right to operate in poor conditions,” and told her I wouldn’t just sit and listen when my concerns were being dismissed. Her reaction? She told me I was no longer welcome and then pulled my daughter out of class to kick us both out. In my experience, the studio presents one face: friendly, polished, persuasive - until you say something it doesn’t want to hear. Then the warmth disappears, replaced with anger and zero willingness to engage. This is not what a children’s performing arts school should feel like. This review is not written with bitterness, but with honesty. I trusted this studio with my child’s time and wellbeing, and I would want other parents to know the full picture before doing the same.
Very unprofessional. They don’t have rights for anything they try to perform and they don’t hold their promises. I was there since the opening when Hannah and Brad first launched the company. After some time, they began to treat you terribly and only see you as money for them. They claim to be “professional” but the only professional thing about them is the amount of money they’re scamming from these innocent children. I began having lessons with Hannah in 2020, when I was eight. This was before she started Studio Empire and her and Brad just seemed like a kind couple of a photographer and a vocal coach. Back then, she was a teacher hiring spaces at the Wright Music School. Years later, she created Studio Empire and had a cunning sense of control for everyone in her facility. Only seeing you as money and having security cameras all throughout the place. Having lessons with Hannah from the age of 8 to 11, I was supporting her in the launch of her company and workshops. However, my family paid an overpriced amount of money for vocal lessons for me and my older sister, who had supported them a lot more than I did. After paying so much, she basically just played a song for me to sing and went on her laptop to do who knows what, then let me go. We spent thousands of dollars on lessons from her and I wish everyone reading this gets the idea. DO NOT GO TO STUDIO EMPIRE! It’s a waste of your time and money and you’re helping an unprofessional money hungry couple who see you as less than money for them. It’s a shame though, the teachers they hire are actually quality and licensed professionals, unbeknownst to the scam they’re helping in. Hope this helps and stay safe.
