Chef Michael was amazing and so was the Surf and Turf class. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We made sautéed shrimp in a vinaigrette, roasted potatoes, & NY strip steak with a tapenade. Dessert was panna cotta and it was amazing!! Two thumbs up!! Don’t miss out!! Kudos to Chef Michael!! A++++++

We celebrated my mom's birthday with a Four-Course Tuscan Feast class and we truly had the best time. Chef Michael was informative, fun and incredibly patient with our questions! Every course was delicious and we learned so much about how a steak should be prepared (sauce goes on the bottom to show off the steak!!) :) We cannot wait to return and appreciate all the time/effort that Chef Michael and the sous chefs put into our class. Thank you!!!

Oh my!!! We took a class, "Winter in Paris" what a dish!! Chef Michael Effltimie was amazing, explaining, directing and instructing us on what to do.... the end result was a fantastic dish!!! One thing I didn't like is my wife and I had to share a table with another couple but we had to split the work of prepping, season and "coock" among the four people at our table which didn’t feel worth what we paid for the class. Don’t get me wrong—we really liked it—but it would have been a much better experience if my wife and I had been involved only in preparing our own dish. The chef was great, but he prepared the rice (which was delicious, by the way), cooked the chicken, and the madeleines were already prepped by someone else.

I joined the Buche de Noel class on December 8th, and unfortunately the overall experience was quite disappointing. The class was scheduled to start at 9:00 AM, but it ended up starting almost an hour late because the manager arrived late. The instructors were already at the store around 7:30 AM but could not begin preparing without the manager, so everyone had to wait. I understood beforehand that this was a group-based class, so sharing tools was totally fine. However, because of the delay, the whole lesson felt rushed and the instructor didn’t really have enough time to give proper guidance or support. The explanation of techniques was very limited and most of the time we were just watching instead of actually learning. We were originally told that each participant would be able to take home their own Buche de Noel. But because of the late start and rushed pace, my group ended up with a very small and messy quarter piece instead of one whole cake per person. I mentioned this to the instructor, and she told me that it was supposed to be one cake per person, so she asked the manager. In the end, the only compensation offered was a $10 refund. Considering this class is normally $90, the value did not match the price at all. I expected a more hands-on experience, more detailed instruction, and at least the full product that was advertised. I really enjoy cooking classes and I was excited about this one, but this time I was quite disappointed. I hope Sur La Table improves communication, scheduling, and instructor support in the future.

We had the best experience at Sur La Table with Chef Michael! The French Feast class was equal parts fun, educational, and downright delicious. Chef Michael made everything feel approachable and kept the whole group laughing while still teaching real techniques we can use at home. The menu was incredible, the pace was perfect, and the whole vibe made it such a memorable night out. If you’re thinking about taking a class—this is your sign. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back! 🇫🇷✨
