I purchased a couples package to surprise my best friend for her 30th birthday which included a magnesium float. As my friend didn’t know what we were doing, she tanned for the occasion and we were then told we couldn’t use that particular float tank as the tan affects the salt water. The staff offered us two alternative options- one being I can still float and she can use the dry float, or we can do the LED therapy together. As it was for her birthday I wanted to spend time with her so we opted with the LED therapy so we weren’t separated. The staff were so accommodating in offering something else for us even though it was my fault for not telling my friend to make sure she doesn’t have tan on. They were very sweet and understanding. All the girls there were so friendly and didn’t seem to be judgemental like the ones you get at other places similar to this. The place was so beautiful, I’d definitely recommend!
It's good enough for a day out. It falls short of basic details in the design. The sauna door handle is metal so it burns your hand when you open the door from the inside (yes then you realise they put a little cloth to use but it falls on the floor). The carpentry work in the sauna is a little sloppy, there is a nail sticking out on the top level backrest, so watch your head. You can see the carpentry pencil markings too.. feels unfinished. The water is very chlorinated and I got a headache from the chemical fumes. It's nice that you can order a drink by the pool or get a snack. The cold plunge is a good addition, the water level was a bit low so you couldn't be fully immersed. There are no hairdries handy but you can ask the busy service person, then they will follow you to make sure you give it back and don't steal it. It makes the experience uncomfortable. Just put some hairdryers out and secure the cord so it can't be taken like many other spas/gyms have done. It would've lovely to add some gentle essential oil to the steam room. The service was nice and polite, parking was easy enough. Also, we didn't get a bathrobe, were we supposed to ask for it as well? It looks like they invested in the concept interior and landscape design but skimped on the build. Overall it's fine, a bit overpriced for the quality. I wouldn't rush to go back but it would be a good pit stop if you're passing by.
Loved the experience I shared with my sister. A wonderful way to relax having access to sauna, steam room, heated magnesium plunge pool. We will definitely go again.
I really enjoyed my time at The Bathhouse I had previously visited for a float only and had issues with the float starting and stopping and lights come on mid way. However when I discussed my concerns I was given a voucher to come back another day and have a float and an additional one hour soak for free. I enjoyed relaxing before my float and tried out all of the facilities. I look forward to returning for a longer period of time and trying some food or drink next time too.
It was the 3rd time I went to the bathhouse. I can never get enough. The facilities are clean, bright and welcoming. There are a number of jet spas, a cool magnesium pool, a cold bath sauna and steam room. Each time I go with my partner I use the two hour spa time where you have two hours to use the facilities. It is also very affordable for the time and what's offered. You can order drinks and just relax. My body feels so refreshed and it takes away my sore back :) the staff are also very friendly and they sell great products for skin like payot etc. Nowhere else in Sydney offers this kind of private relaxation oasis. I will be aiming to go every two months for stress relief :) #StaySipSoak
