We walked in around 9:15 on a Friday and had just missed the rush. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and the manager, Vince, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. While we waited briefly for a table to be cleaned, Vince chatted with us and made the wait feel effortless. He was so genuine, easygoing, and clearly took great pride in the restaurant—you could tell he truly loves what he does. The food came out quickly, and the bao buns were amazing—perfectly spicy and crispy, topped with a fantastic slaw. I even brought some home for my girls, who love Korean food, and they were absolutely thrilled. We also ordered the house salad with house-made ranch, which was honestly some of the best ranch we’ve had in a long time. I had the chicken fried chicken, which was super crispy with delicious gravy and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered the steak frites—his steak was cooked perfectly, and the fries were incredibly seasoned and crispy. Vince came back by our table to chat again, and we genuinely enjoyed taking time to talk with him. The service, food, and overall experience were outstanding. We will also be trying the Grand Prairie location, as Vince told us it’s super kid-friendly and even has a fun light show to watch. Highly recommend—we will definitely be back.
I took my daughter here for her birthday. She's a bit of a picky eater, but they had options for every palate. She chose the chicken fried chicken, while I had the NY Strip. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts, which were excellent, and to my surprise, my daughter enjoyed them too. I highly recommend this place, and I look forward to having this restaurant in Rockwall.
Service: Derrick was our host & he was fun to chat with! Great sense of humor. Ambience: Very cute place! High ceilings makes its feel larger inside and they have an outside area. Food: 3/5 I had the brunch tacos plate. my potatoes were cold & the tacos were just ok. My friends had the steak & eggs and the chicken fried chicken. Their plates looked delicious. Definitely a place to revisit.
I went to The Finch in Dallas and it was fantastic. I ordered the short rib with the feta and tzatziki, and it was incredible. My friend had the Greek salad with salmon. The food was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and something I’ll definitely be thinking about for a while. Our server, Jonathan, made the experience even better. He was extremely attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. You could tell he truly cared about making sure everything was just right! I’m really excited for The Finch to come to Rockwall. It’s exactly the kind of restaurant that will elevate the area, and I can’t wait to have something like this closer to home.
Party of 4 for dinner. We had a round of drinks, 2 espresso martini, beer and vodka on the rocks plus soups, salad and main entree. Bill including tip was a hair shy of 300. Husbands prime rib was overwhelming under cooked. More rare than medium rare, but he still ate it as we were hungry. Food runners provided the soup/salad. Server came over to deliver the entrees and then we never saw him again until it was time to pay. No one refilled our water glasses either. You can go if you want, but we were not impressed at all. Quite disappointed as we had read reviews before selecting this place to eat.
