Our puppy Willow loves going to daycare here. Her tail wags like crazy as soon as she gets out of the car. Every time we leave the house, she runs to the door hoping we are taking her to Hounds & Tap. It’s her favorite place and we love how happy it makes her.

Update after they responded: except our dog came back clean from worms/parasites so I asked at what point could we bring them in? You didn’t answer my question. When taking our dogs to the vet we were notified of more cases of kennel cough in your daycare so then in my email I asked at what point do you notify families of a HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS going around because we knew of FIVE PLUS DOGS. To that they refunded us our money. I think refunding us was there way of getting us to shut up. Instead of answering our questions they refunded us. I do NOT think that was appropriate or respectful. We had been going to hounds and tap for about 3.5 years. Within the last 6/12 months our family had grown by 3 dogs. Our 2 newest dogs did great. Our 3rd attempted to come in (but has SEVERE ANXIETY due to past trauma) he pooped in the lobby and accused him of having worms so declined him and the rest of our crew. We checked for DAYS each and every dogs poop and saw NO SIGN. We later sent in a stool sample to the vet and it came back CLEAN. I asked what more they needed for proof? Then one of our pups stayed overnight and he came home with a cough. It continued to get worse so we took him to the vet to find out he had kennel cough. A week and half went by and our oldest dog during the night had difficulty breathing. That folllowing day we took her to vet and she was diagnosed with reversed sneezing but they got more cases of kennel cough. She then started vomiting and not eating so we rushed her to the ER where we were told she also had kennel cough. When emailing with hounds and tap they wanted to call and discuss this over the phone. I have a normal job and can’t just call during the day. They stated they were unable to take a phone call after 5pm. They followed up with an email and kind of pushing us away from the facility. I said we knew of 5 cases of kennel cough so at what point do they send out an email to parents? I said we had just purchased packages so we will stay and use those up. The manager Armon responded with you have been refunded for the packages. I want my dogs in the best care when we are not available to give them the love and attention they deserve. I think there response was very rude and disrespectful. My concern is with the dogs safety and to think they can just refund me money and everything will be fine? I don’t want other families to go through what we have.

This review is VERY long overdue - we’ve been going here since they opened- and can be summed up by saying just don’t hesitate - come to Hounds and Tap. Need a groomer? They’ve got you and they are the BEST. Our boys adore Caitlin and she puts them and their comfort first always. Need boarding? Don’t look elsewhere! Your dogs will not only be safe, but loved and have a blast while you are gone. Need daycare? Drive however far you need to - it’s worth it. Trust me. Want to go somewhere to watch a game or enjoy some beautiful weather but don’t want to leave the pups at home? It’s perfect! We have two very, perfect for us, but imperfect doodles and they are so well cared for and truly understood there. Behavior corrections when needed are handled impeccably. What makes it so special? The business concept is unique no doubt (why aren’t there more of these?!) but it is truly the humans that work there that make it great. They are just really good people who care very much about the pups and it shows in everything they do. The retention of employees is CRAZY - and that says a lot in an industry with a high burnout rate. Such a fantastic little part of the Menomonee Falls community - we are so lucky to have it! Thank you to everyone at H&T for all you do everyday- our family appreciates you. Bernie & Bucky most of all. 🫶

We love coming here! Our pup has such a great time and is always so excited when she sees where we are. You can tell they care about the pups that are there and ensuring everyone has a safe and fun time. We come often for the tavern but we also do day care every now and then and also board her here. They treat her like their own and even surprised us with a birthday pic of her when she came in for day care! We’ve only had one issue with another pup and their owner, but it wasn’t anything separating the dogs couldn’t handle. Ivy, our dog, is very shy and submissive and they do a great job of helping making sure she’s also enjoying her time even when the crowd gets a little hyped up! We can’t say enough good things. The drinks are a little pricey, but overall we love coming here.

The indoor and outdoor infrastructure is impressive! It's a great place to take your dog and enjoy a drink for a celebration or sports game. They also have food trucks which pairs well with their nice outdoor area. This is definitely a good place for friends to come together and let their pets hangout in a safe, contained environment.
