The parking was horrible, there was no one outside to tell you where you can park, nor was there signing posted for parking for this event. There was a lot of cars getting tickets posted on there windows. Please be aware where you park at the events for the Kent!!!
It was my first time attending this event and it was wonderful, I'll attend another event at this facility, very nice and well guarded by the police department which was wonderful to me. Awesome
I can’t say enough about The Kent and Toni!! My husband and I hosted a wedding reception for our daughter & her husband, with 300 + guest. Toni took care of everything from start to finish!!! We were able to enjoy ourselves and did not worry about ANYTHING! She took care of every detail! During the planning process, she was so helpful and had some great ideas!! She is definitely an expert when it comes to wedding planning! This historic space is so beautiful and spacious! It was perfect for their wedding reception!!! We cannot say enough about Toni and The Kent! Thanks for a great experience!!
We held our wedding in August 2024 at The Kent after a previous venue option fell through. We are incredibly glad that it did, as The Kent is a beautiful space, and Toni, the property manager who also served as our event coordinator, was a true blessing. While it is a more expensive package to have Toni as the coordinator, it is absolutely worth it. She listened to our plans and vision and recommended vendors that would help us achieve our goals within our budget. We chose all of our vendors based on her recommendations, and they were spot-on selections. It was also incredibly helpful that our photographer, caterer, florist, and DJ had previously worked at The Kent and with Toni, as they were familiar with the venue's layout and procedures. - Planning: Toni offered invaluable insights into how weddings have changed since our parents' weddings in the 1980s. Her guidance helped us determine what we wanted for our wedding while also ensuring a great experience for our guests. She is very easy to reach via phone and email. With her extensive experience in the wedding planning industry, Toni knows to ask about details that couples may not even consider. - Wedding: Toni was a rockstar throughout the entire day, helping with various hiccups that occurred, from needing to find some extra seating for unexpected guests to helping re-bustle the wedding dress when the original bustle failed. - Venue: The venue is beautiful and spacious enough to accommodate any decoration scheme. Following The Kent on Instagram showcased various ways that weddings and other events have used and decorated the space. We chose to have the ceremony in the central area, with tables pre-set for dinner in the east hall. During dinner, The Kent staff transformed the central space into a dance floor for the reception. A benefit of the higher package was that Toni’s staff handled the flip. We utilized The Kent’s tables and chairs for both the ceremony and the reception, and we also took advantage of their soft seating by the built-in bar for additional seating options during cocktail hour and the reception. Another significant advantage is that The Kent offers parking for guests, which was especially helpful since many of our attendees were from out of town. We cannot recommend this venue highly enough!
We had our daughter’s wedding at The Kent in early January! It turned out more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The blending of rustic industrial and garden glam was magical. It was the perfect space for a large January wedding, being able to have both ceremony and reception in different spaces under the same roof! Toni was so easy to work with, went out of her way to accommodate us and answer all of our questions along the way. Ethan Thomas Events was the perfect decorator to turn the large space into the most and enchanting atmosphere!! Thank you to The Kent and staff for the perfect wedding experience!
