We were flying out of SFO last weekend and our hotel wouldn't allow pets. The staff was super accommodating on short notice!

I called to book boarding and appreciated that they asked about medical history right away. I disclosed my dog has had well-managed Addison's disease for seven years. The receptionist didn't know what it was, put me on hold, and then wanted to decline us. When we mentioned it's a managed condition nothing to be freaked out about, a senior receptionist took over, politely explaining they were afraid they wouldn't be able to distinguish Addison's symptoms (shaking, drinking water) from normal dog behavior. I explained those are symptoms of an unmanaged condition, that he has safely boarded at other facilities for years, and offered to provide a medical clearance note from his vet. Instead of accepting the vet's note or consulting a medical professional, she put me on a long hold to ask supervisors and the owners, who all said no based on the staff's initial internet search. While I completely respect a non-medical facility managing their liability, it is highly unprofessional to base a final decision on a receptionist's quick Google search rather than an actual veterinarian's assessment. A serious facility should make decisions based on medical facts and a vet's clearance, not internet-fueled panic.

The Pawington is an amazing place for pets! The staff is friendly, caring, and truly attentive to every pet’s needs. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and it shows in the level of care and attention they provide. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming environment. I always feel at ease knowing my pet is in such good hands. Highly recommend The Pawington!

We LOVE the Pawington. Mochi is shy around people but has a great time here. Extremely convenient when flying out of SFO
