I will never use them again. m I had my dog join their daycare and we witnessed one of the handlers aggressively handling him on their livestream. We were so upset by how our dog was treated. Following the altercation, we were unable to locate our dog on the livestream and we tried calling but they did not pick up. There was notice to us of where he was or what happened. When we came to pick him up, we mentioned what we saw and that we were unable to find him on the camera and only upon confronting them, did they tell us they ended up putting him in a tiny room for the remainder of the day. Pawington is extremely overpriced for the quality of care they provide.
Several boards in now and we've always had a good experience here. Our dog enjoys it, comes back exhausted from the all day play, but relaxed and happy. Sometimes we'll request a bath and nail trim which has been reliable. The pet cams are great to be able to check in every so often.
Would not recommend taking your dog here. It was the 3rd day after dropping our dog off to be boarded when we realized he wasn’t on the cameras. We called to find out they had been keeping him in a little closet sized room for 23 hours and 15 minutes a day, only letting him out to potty. There was no calling, texting or emailing to let us know. We were paying over a $100 a day for our dog to be isolated by himself in a cell. Our dog had so much anxiety from being isolated that he developed a severe heat spot. We asked to speak to the GM, and also told the front desk we wanted our money back. The GM never called us, and as soon as we got off the phone with the front desk, they charged our credit card. The front desk ladies laughed at our family friend as she picked up our poor dog while we were out of town. She couldn’t believe the disrespect. A very unprofessional business that doesn’t treat animals or people right. I would not recommend.
We just moved to the area, so we weren’t familiar with the cat groomers here. Pawington came up in my search results, and their prices are reasonable compared to others in the area. The groomer understood exactly what I needed, and I felt confident handing my baby over to her. My cat has long hair, so trimming and shaving can be tricky. But this time, she got the best look ever! She looked super cute and round. Unlike before, there was a smooth transition between the shaved and unshaved areas. This was her first time with them, and she’s a nervous cat—usually it takes her a few days to recover from a grooming session. But I believe next time will be better! We’ll definitely be visiting again!
If you care about your dog, stay away from this place! They mistreated my dog, tying him up throughout the 3-day boarding period. It's unbelievable that my dog ingested a 14-inch leash while in their care, and I wouldn't have been aware if he hadn't vomited it the day after we retrieved him from this terrible experience! Adding insult to injury, when I contacted the business, they vanished! We chose Pawington based on positive Google reviews, despite the higher cost. We consider our dog a part of the family and are willing to pay more for quality care. However, these individuals exploited our love for pets and failed to gain our trust. We boarded our dog here during the Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. On the second day of boarding, they informed us that our dog tried to escape due to separation anxiety and requested our consent to administer sedatives for better management. Although we agreed, knowing our dog occasionally experiences anxiety from separation, two days later, when we picked up our dog, its condition was simply terrible! On the second morning after bringing our dog home, I discovered that the dog was continuously vomiting. We consulted the vet, who suggested it might be due to mental and appetite disruptions from being away from the owner. However, when the dog vomited out a 14-inch leash from its stomach, we could hardly believe it. It was much worse than we had imagined. And the most frightening part is that the boarding company has been silent about what happened! They actually attempted to cover up the truth. We contacted the pawtington immediately, but their response was disappointing. They insisted Oreo was fine and just trying to escape. Despite showing them the evidence of the 14-inch leash our dog vomited, they refused to acknowledge it, citing a rule against tying up dogs. I questioned their explanation, and they gave evasive answers, claiming no one reported such incidents. I have too many questions, but due to the business constantly covering up the facts, I couldn't get a reasonable explanation. I suspect that when our dog experienced separation anxiety, they not only gave Oreo a tranquilizer but also tied it up with a leash to prevent escape. Our dog never eats randomly, and it's unlikely it ingested the leash in a secure environment. The only explanation is they tied up our dog for a long time, causing it to attempt escape and accidentally ingest the leash. They claimed not to find any evidence of our dog swallowing the leash. However, if their staff checked the remaining pieces diligently, they would have discovered damage or even a missing 14-inch segment. Yet, they said they found nothing unusual. They tried to blame us, stating our dog attempted to escape and damaged two doors. The truth is they only called us to ask if we could give it tranquilizers. If I had known they would mistreat our dog during boarding, I would have preferred buying a plane ticket to bring it home instead of leaving it there! I expressed my concerns to the responsible manager and requested them to cover the expenses for our dog's examination. The manager promised to report to the owner but couldn't guarantee reimbursement. Despite their emphasis on caring for our dog, a week has passed without any follow-up, solutions, or even a message expressing concern. I love Oreo deeply and have been a loyal customer of Pawington. This week has been an extremely painful and shocking time for me. We chose Pawington attracted by their positive reviews on Google, despite their higher fees compared to other boarding services. We were drawn in by their advertising, believing that Oreo would continue to receive love even in our absence. However, they took advantage of our love for pets and trust in them to engage in the mistreatment of dogs. I am heartbroken and furious about this treatment. I am still waiting for a response from you and hope other dog parents do not choose to leave their dogs here!!
