The Social Dance Studio is a very special place to us. We started taking lessons in 2022 as a fun date night activity, then fell in love with the bachata. Fast forward to May 2024 when Angela helped my husband execute the best dance move of all, getting down on one knee during our private lesson! Angela took the style of dance and moves that we loved and choreographed the perfect first dance for our wedding to our favorite Otis Redding song. We had so much fun practicing in studio and at home during our year-long engagement. Performing on our wedding day (and posing for many photos with our well-perfected dip) was one of my favorite moments of the day. Angela has become a friend and we are so grateful The Social Dance Studio opened up just blocks away from our old apartment when it did. While we live a bit farther away now, we can't wait to come back for dates nights in the future. We highly recommend taking lessons both for fun and to prepare for your first dance! Angela and her staff are so personable and can break down steps for any experience level. Schedule a group class with friends or book a private lesson. You won't regret it!

My now husband and I are very much not dance-inclined, so we made an appointment here for a private lesson to learn some simple moves for our first dance. Jenna was the perfect instructor. She listened to our song and quickly came up with a choreography that we were able to absorb in a single lesson to practice on our own leading up to the wedding. 100% recommend this dance studio for anyone who wants to learn!

Jenna helped my husband and I as well as my dad and I prepare for our wedding dances - she was incredible. Jenna was able to tailor her approach perfectly based on what we were looking for, and she made our time together so fun! We were so happy with how the dances turned out, and honored to have gotten to know Jenna - she's the such a warm, positive light!

We had an AMAZING experience working with Angela at the Social Dance Studio to prepare for our first dance. She took us from knowing nothing about dance to having an impressive but very doable first dance with spins, dips, and lifts. Not only that, but it was such a fun date night during the wedding planning process and easily our favorite part of planning. Thank you!

Evelyn was incredible! As total beginners, we never imagined we’d pull off dips, lifts, and a crowd-cheering first dance but she made it happen. Every lesson was fun, approachable, and tailored to us. We really looked forward to each lesson with Evelyn. Hitting the lift was one of the happiest moments of our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better instructor! Highly recommend their 5-session wedding package!
