Very rude customer service — cold and not friendly at all. I decided to cancel my appointment and go somewhere else. My dog recently had surgery in Mexico, and I needed X-rays, a bandage change, and some reassurance about choosing the right clinic, especially since English is not my first language. Unfortunately, I did not feel supported during my call. My interaction with the receptionist, Rachel, was not pleasant.

I was told on my post op paperwork from Star Animal Clinic to call this vet after 6pm for any questions or concerns I had after getting my dog spayed earlier today. I did just call and the woman who answered, Angel, repeatedly told me she couldn't give any medical advice over the phone without examining my dog. I can completely understand that part, but I was confused because the question I had was very general/based on your experience type of thing. I simply wanted to know if it was normal that she had thrown up 5x since 4pm(now 11pm) and was refusing water. Her tone as so abrasive and very unsympathetic. I'm a single mom and couldn't get out there even if I wanted to and she was very brash in telling me that's my only option. It's just very disappointing and it just plain looks bad. The people answering your calls and running your front desk can really make or beak a place.

Took my cat to here at 1 AM. I’m trying to check in, telling the front desk my issue and she tells me “hold on” and walks away. She finally comes back and asked me again what happened and as I’m in the middle of talking she answers her phone! When she gets off she hands me a clipboard and says “fill this out it’ll be a 5 hour wait” and basically blows me off. I understand how it is when you’re understaffed and there’s a lot going on but she could’ve at least acknowledged me and got me checked in. I didn’t even get to finish talking or asking my question! It would’ve taken less than a minute. Handle one person at a time please.

After a lovely beach trip to Port A, we realized it was time to let our sweet Bella go. Her enthusiasm for the beach she once loved was no longer. Our 16 year old Dorkie (Dachshund/Yorkie) had been suffering with Cushioning disease along with other ailments of a life well lived. Our vet technician at the VCA guided us through the process and even shared a recent personal experience. He gave us comfort and time when we needed it most. Although we will never forget our sweet tiny girl, we can’t thank this hospital enough for guiding us through this process. We apologize to the vet technician for not remembering his name, we were very distraught. Hopefully, he will know who we are. ❤️

This place is only worried about getting their money rather than actually seeing your pet for an emergency. Wait times are 2-3 hours even when your pet comes in with an injury they still dont budge nor care...

I cannot thank VCA Oso Creek enough for taking care of my sweet Nola girl to the very end. She was my everything. We first came to VCA for a second opinion after her primary vet misdiagnosed cancer in two of her paws. The team thoroughly evaluated her, completed x-rays, and confirmed it was arthritis. From that moment on, I knew we were in the right place. A little over a month ago, we returned due to fluid in her abdomen. We were told it was likely a ruptured tumor and possibly aggressive cancer. They gave us the time and space to make an incredibly difficult decision. Dr. Vaughn was extremely thorough and honest. He performed her surgery and removed what he could. She stayed a few nights, and the doctors called daily with updates. The vet techs were always kind when I called or came to visit. Her pathology came back as Hemangiosarcoma — an aggressive cancer. We were told we may only have a month or two. She gave me two beautiful weeks, and I will always be grateful for that time. When it was time to say goodbye, they handled everything with compassion and dignity. They truly cared about Nola and about me. A very special thank you to Dr. Vaughn, Dr. Mircovich, Amanda, Ashley, Becca, Stephanie, Chelsea, Leilani, Sadie, and anyone else who cared for my girl and who were kind to me through this. You are all so appreciated. I highly recommend VCA Oso Creek. They are something special — and I truly believe they knew Nola was something special too.
