We placed Hutch and Theo in the care of Way Hotels - Richardson. They were clean, happy, and in good condition when we came to take them home. During the stay we were sent photos of both dogs interacting with the other dogs. Nice comments were also provided. We felt reassured. We will consider Wag Hotels - Richardson when we travel in the future.
I’ve been meaning to post a review but holiday season is busy! I moved here from Chicago and had been taking my two dogs to a 5* facility for years! One that you honestly can’t imagine! I mapped out 5 different ones within a 20 minute vicinity of where I live and made a circle. I was getting so frustrated and anxious because I wouldn’t leave my furry boys with any of the first 4. Wags Hotel was my last hope of the day and I couldn’t have been more excited and happy. The facility itself was CLEAN, DIDN’T smell, play areas really nice even tho no outdoor play areas, boarding accommodation and choices really nice, 24/7, staff amazing (Josh, the manager, Ginger and others). I wanted them bathed and groomed upon picking them up so Kendra, the groomer, came out to introduce herself and then literally sat on the floor to get to know the dogs. New clients get two free play days for dogs to acclimate and mine did great with staff and the other dogs! I only boarded them for two nights but I know everything went great plus saw them on camera and they got good report cards ;))) I couldn’t be more pleased and relieved that I found them! Even tho no outdoor play areas, I still give 5***** Thank you to everyone!
I absolutely love Wag Hotels! I had bad experiences with two previous boarding facilities and was referred to Wag by a current customer. When I arrived to pick up my baby he was clean and happy! I received daily pictures and was able to see him on camera during play time. I also received an electronic report card that was reviewed with me upon checkout. I love Wag and encourage you to take your pet there as well. I can now travel without worrying!
I’ve brought my dog to daycare here for 4 months now and they are the most dedicated and caring crew. They know my dog well, are vigilant with his during his time there, and always greet me with a smile. I feel very comfortable leaving my dog there. They’re a really great team, and my dog loves them too.
The general manager decided to reach out to me today. He’s definitely a real hands-on manager calling me 11 days after I picked up my dogs and paid $1500. I’m now thinking that the problem with this establishment is lack of management supervision and insufficient staff training. Now the manager wants to know how he can improve…well he’s a day late and a dollar short. I was very disappointed with my experience and anxious about leaving my dogs at this kennel, it was never mentioned when I made the reservation, but I went all the way to Richardson to find out, There is no green space at the facility but rather they have a concrete area that is painted green, where the dogs poop and pee which disgusted me, and the smell was really bad. I brought 14 cans of food for each dog and on the ninth day the facility called me in Colombia to advise me they had run out of food and much to my dismay, they did not follow simple instructions and were overfeeding my dogs so they wasted food, and my puppy had diarrhea. My vacation was interrupted while I scrambled to have food delivered before PetSmart closed. I’m a bit astonished that they cannot follow simple feeding instructions and thank God I did not have any medicines. Very poor communication skills and lackadaisical customer service This facility made me think of a asylum for dogs (not a hotel )where they have to poop and pee in their assigned concrete cells and live with it Also, when I toured the facility, it smelled of urine, was very loud and I’m sure that annoyed my dogs for 14 days. Lysol? I wanted to be polite about the matter, but the manager calling me 11 days after the fact has furthermore festered my experience. it’s not only inconsiderate but poor management and customer support Further to all of this, they would not allow my Mobile groomer of nine years to come there,, citing liability (BS). I was rudely informed that they have a grooming service if I wanted to have my dogs groomed. No, I’m not interested in having my prize dogs groomed by a stranger. So when I picked them up, their paws stunk of urine. I was 3000 miles away from home and very nervous about how my dogs were being cared for. This is all in the past, and I won’t be back, A full boycott, even though the manager states he is deeply saddened 😰, please see below…
