WCG is amazing! I have had a GREAT experience with them for both business and personal taxes. Sally, Richard, and Rohit have made this tax season soooo much less stressful and more streamlined than I've ever had before...can't say thanks enough. I will continue using WCG, and I recommend them to anyone looking for tax prep experts!

I worked with WCG for three years (tax years 2022–2024) after transferring my S-corp filings from a previous accounting firm. By April 2025, the experience had become disappointing enough that I decided to move my business elsewhere despite the considerable inertia involved in switching firms. No accountant or client relationship is perfect. Tax preparation inevitably involves many details and occasional hiccups on both sides. While WCG was consistently personable in written communications, I ultimately found the firm’s underlying skills, systems, and processes underwhelming. A few examples illustrate my experience: Tax optimization. WCG marketed itself as a boutique advisory firm, but in practice it operates at significant scale, with roughly 80 professionals across multiple locations including Ahmedabad, Laramie, Mitchell, and Colorado Springs. In my case, the home office deduction, a standard element of my S-corp filings, was omitted in two of the three years I worked with them. WCG amended the returns once I identified the error, but it required time and effort to detect and correct. I had provided prior filings during onboarding where the deduction was already established. Business consultation package. I also purchased the “Business Consultation / Periodic Business Review (PBR) – Quarterly” service, which was a major reason I selected WCG. In practice, the proactive quarterly strategy sessions described in the package were never initiated by the firm. My CPA was available to book, though email responses could be slow, but the proactive advisory component never materialized. Tax payment volatility. In tax year 2023, I overpaid Maine state taxes by more than $9,000 while owing over $7,000 federally. In 2025 my combined refund exceeded $10,000. I engage tax support specifically to help smooth estimated payments, so these outcomes were surprising for a relatively straightforward single-member LLC. Cost versus service. By 2024–2025 I was paying about $4,400 annually (including ADP integration) and expected a higher level of personalization and oversight. Billing issue after termination. After requesting that services be terminated on April 9, 2025, and confirming the closure of the relationship, a withdrawal of about $11,500 was drafted from my business account nearly 60 days later. The issue ultimately traced back to WCG failing to notify ADP that services had been discontinued despite two confirmations. Time and trust matter. WCG’s frequent automated broadcasts, emails, texts, and portal notifications often required sorting through to determine what applied to my business. Over time I became less confident that the firm’s focus was on optimizing my company’s tax strategy rather than scaling a technology-driven accounting platform. Both onboarding and exiting the firm required considerable time and effort. My concern is not just missed tax optimization opportunities, but the time required to identify and correct issues that should have been caught internally. Prospective clients should weigh the convenience of WCG’s platform against the level of hands-on oversight and proactive advisory support commenserate with price paid.

I've had a great experience working with WCG CPA & Advisors, especially with Jose Castro-Antunez, EA. I recently started a business and wasn't very familiar with tax preparation and planning. Jose and his team have been extremely helpful--very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. In the past, I had negative experiences with several accountants who either didn't answer my questions or were slow to respond. With Jose and his team, it's been the complete opposite. I've asked a lot of questions, and they've always been patient and thorough in explaining things to me. I truly appreciate their support and guidance, and I would highly recommend this group of accountants to anyone looking for reliable and responsive tax and business advisory services.

Let me start with the positives to be fair: The team has always been professional in their communication and onboarding felt easy and welcoming a few months ahead of tax time. But when it was time for actual filings to happen, it started to fall apart. WCG says they're great at S-Corp elections, both on their website and client comms -- saying they have a "100% success rate". But sadly they failed on mine. 8 months later, the IRS confirmed to both myself and a new CPA firm that they never received the retroactive election from WCG. I asked, bumped, and probed the team several times to follow-up on this... and I felt like our conversation just went in circles. Asking simple questions were also just too much to get a straight forward answer on. And in the final state tax filing, there was an error that would have added an additional $900 in fees added to my total cost, further showing the lack of detail WCG had on my file. Because of this failure, it caused the later federal and state filings to be rejected -- something they had no awareness, stemming from the lack of awareness of the IRS never receiving the initial S-Corp retro election. It now has caused a ripple effect on my business and personal filings... This has already triggered several thousands in penalties, and I'm having to pay for documents to be drafted once more by another firm. I'm not sure if the firm is now oversubscribed with clients, but things are not in alignment with what it seems others typically experience. I would suggest business owners look elsewhere to ensure your filings are accurate.

This rating isn’t relevant to this company’s actual services, but I got a flat tire right by their building and 4 separate employees all came out to help, two of which got out tools and everything. Don’t know much about CPAs but I can say for sure that the people here are kind-hearted and will do everything they can to help you out!
