I started working with Angela when my 7.5-month-old pup, Vesuvius (a mix of Black Mouth Cur, Lab, Pit Bull, and Husky), was full of energy and still adjusting to life in Manhattan. He chewed my furniture, jumped on everyone, pulled the leash constantly, and tried to eat everything off the street. Since working with Angela, he’s made huge progress in every area. While he’s still a puppy and has his moments, he now pulls much less on walks, chews far less, and is generally much more obedient. Angela uses positive reinforcement, and Vesuvius absolutely loves seeing her — his tail starts wagging the second she arrives. Beyond training, Angela is incredibly knowledgeable about dogs and shares valuable advice on health, products, and how to better understand the way dogs see the world. She’s always punctual, caring, and checks in on him if he’s not feeling well or if any issues come up. It’s clear she truly loves what she does and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. I highly recommend Angela — she’s made life with my pup so much easier and more enjoyable.
We were scammed by Yuruani. Although our assigned trainer was kind and genuinely loved our dog, the overall experience with Yuruani was extremely disappointing. We were told that 15 sessions would be enough, but once we completed them, they pressured us to continue with more and more sessions, clearly trying to squeeze more money out of us. It felt dishonest and manipulative. If anyone is looking for a great dog trainer, please don’t waste your time here—reach out to me instead. We eventually found an amazing trainer who turned our dog into a well-behaved service animal, and I’d be happy to recommend them.
Yuri is a certified trainer with a strong background in animal behavior. She has been working, once a week, for the three weeks now with my one year old adoptee who is a "free range" 😉 golden doodle. She has helped me with basic training methods, all based on positive reinforcement - which have made an enormous difference in my puppy's behavior. She has helped Molly make significant behavioral progress and has helped me learn what to expect as Molly settles in. Yuri is entirely professional, competent, patient and a lovely individual. I highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about training their four legged companions.
As a first-time dog owner and mother of a Golden Retrieved puppy Yuruani Olguin was wonderful and did an excellent job guiding me from potty training and house rules to obedience and walk on the lease with my very playful full-of-energy puppy. Her experience and commitment to working with dog parents and first-time dog owners helped us to manage the very complicated city life and preventing me from making unnecessary mistakes. Yuri is absolutely amazing! We brought her in to help with our 1.5 year old mini Australian shepherd - after the first session she had taught him vital skills to help cope with his anxiousness around the doorbell by going to a particular spot and waiting calmly. We were so impressed with how quickly she was able to connect with our dog and really get him to listen. This was our first experience with an in home trainer and Yuri made it an amazing experience. Yuri made us feel comfortable and addressed all of our questions as she trained. She easily taught us how to implement the tricks like leave it, drop it and settle into our daily routine to help manage our dog's energy levels. After every session we felt confident that we could continue the training and practice from Yuri's amazing instructions, and the additional homework sheets she emailed us were so helpful! We cannot recommend Yuri enough! You can tell within minutes that she truly is passionate about dogs and loves what she does. She was so sweet and patient, she really made us feel so comfortable! We plan on buying another package as soon as possible! If you're even considering booking Yuri - do it!
