Had work done on a customized Volvo 850R. Was just a radiator install but they never balked once about the work on a 20+ year old car, or the fact it had a late model engine transplant. That’s rare nowadays. They were able to complete the work in a day or two. The work was done well, and the price was reasonable for what was accomplished.
Got oil change and tires rotated today. Very friendly staff, worked quickly, and good prices. Great experience overall.
Ever since I moved to Austin , I have been bringing my car to this car shop and it’s such a great business. The prices are good, customer service is also great, they work at a good speed so you won’t wait long and their waiting area is also very nice, with vending machines with snack and drinks, spacious and it has cool arcade games for you to play while waiting !
Pros: Very fair pricing and the guys here are not gonna upsell you on some BS. Nice waiting area as well. Cons: I've been here twice and both times I have had to wait 2x as long as everyone else in the waiting room for just an oil change. Got in at 8am both times to be sure I was one of the first in for the day, and got to watch as Danny would come in and hand the keys direcrly to 4-5 people who arrived around/after I had. They all waited around 45min-1hr. For me, *both* times, I had to go into the office after almost 2 hours of waiting and ask if my car was ready, and both times it turn out my keys and receipt were just sitting there. So, unfortunately my recommendation for anyone coming is to be a bit of a Karen and periodically check in at the front desk to see if your vehicle is done.
I’m honestly amazed by the honesty I experienced from Danny today. I came in for an oil change, and he immediately made it clear that the oil they had—while very high quality—was not the correct spec for my specific car. He took the time to educate me about exactly what my vehicle requires, which turns out is only available through local dealerships or online. Ironically, when I called the dealerships, most of them either blew off my questions, deflected, or didn’t even know what I was talking about. One dealership even transferred me to a dead line when I tried to verify what Danny had told me. Turns out, some of them are using lesser-quality oil than what’s actually recommended in the owner’s manual—and they’re the dealerships. This industry can be incredibly shady, but Danny gave me straight truth from the second I walked in. He told me cars are always going to need maintenance—but mechanics shouldn’t add to that weight—and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you, Danny. I’ll be back.
