This South Indian restaurant is highly recommended for a quick and satisfying meal. The food is consistently delicious, and we’ve tried several dishes over the years, including Idli, Vada, Dosas, meals, Kothu Paratha, and Manchurian. You can’t go wrong with their menu.
I usually visit A2B San Jose for breakfast or evening snacks, and it has consistently been a pleasant experience. The place is clean with ample seating, making it comfortable to sit and enjoy a meal. I often order the Mysore masala dosa, combo breakfast plate, or uttapam, and I always end my meal with their chai or filter coffee—a perfect finish. The food is tasty and among the better South Indian options in the Bay Area. The staff here are courteous and polite, especially Nikita, who always greets with a smile and makes the experience warmer. Service can be on the slower side, and some seating areas feel a bit tight, but the overall environment is clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. Prices are slightly higher compared to other Indian restaurants, but the quality and consistency make it worth it. Overall, a good spot in the Bay Area for authentic South Indian food.
The food here is excellent—especially during weekends when they offer buffet tiffin. Even l tired to have lunch and dinner . Yes, it’s affordable and yet very high quality with the good taste. Even though I have come out of India for work, A2B San Jose reminds me of the comforting, homely food I grew up with. The taste and quality are authentic, which isn’t surprising since they are originally from India. The staff are courteous and serve with genuine care and attention especially need to mention the special thanks to Easwari Ma’m and Charan sir . A2B has become one of my regular spots and remains one of the best South Indian vegetarian restaurants in the Bay Area.
The dosa and South Indian dishes are good. Chole bhature was ok ok. The chana was not good enough and quantity was less. The samosa chaat was good. The drinks of rose milk and badam milk were good too. The Pura Poli was very bad.. It was very hard and a test for our teeth! The filling jaggery was good but the outer maida cover was so hard and a test of our teeth! On the whole, ok ok, not good enough.. Probably other places like idli Express, anjappar, mylapore, uluvacharu tiffins will be better. Also bought some Togo packs of Mysore Pak, badusha, thattai, karasev and ribbon pakoda. They were all very poor quality. Definitely not the Bangalore A2B where I loved everything. A lot more improvement needed! Only for idli and dosa, we've so many other good competitors here.
a nice and clean restaurant, with decent food. the sambar was good, the tomato chutney was nice but the other two were pretty bland. the uttapam was good, the two exceptional items thought would be the multi millet dosa which was genuinely very tasty and the idli which was very well made. The paneer itself in the chili paneer was good and you could taste the fresh paneer flavor, but the chili paneer sauce was too sweet and lacked flavor. I also think the quantity of chutney and sambar wasn’t enough for the food, and we had to buy more. It’s a decent place but I don’t anticipate coming again.
