Akin knows his business and business is good. He leads from the front and, from my experience, he was quite knowledgable of his craft. He didn't try to upsell me and didn't try to gouge me for the work. Now if I could find an electrician that was the same lol. The best word to describe Akin is honest.
You can't go wrong with Akins... top notch service at an extremely reasonable price. Akin, his brother and crew are extremely knowledgeable... and HONEST. They have been my go to for nearly a decade with my German car. No unnecessary pressure to upsell like so many others. There work is reliable and timely. The shop is well kept, with a waiting room equipped with guest wifi. I highly recommend these guys!
This was my first time visiting the shop. The front office staff were so friendly and had a great sense of humor. As someone from Oregon, this was my first auto service experience in California, and the shop made me feel comfortable, confident, and assured by their professionalism and honesty. I couldn’t be happier after taking my 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD to Akins Auto Repair. Akin and Aydin are now officially my guys here in San Jose for any repairs, maintenance, or service my truck needs. They were honest, did excellent work, and their pricing was very reasonable. I grew up around auto shops — my dad was a gearhead — so I know good work when I see it. I can handle basic jobs myself, but being disabled now, I’m not always able to work on my vehicle. Akins reminded me of my dad’s shop growing up: welcoming, trustworthy, and full of pride in their craft. Aydin was friendly, easy to talk to, and someone you can immediately trust. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and enjoys helping people. I scheduled an appointment ahead of time because I don’t expect jobs to be done on the spot. They had me drop off my truck, went over everything in detail, and finished the work right on schedule.
