For a store which prides itself on diverse history, and literature....they have sure missed the mark on judgement. "This isn't a library it is a bookstore..."even with chairs to sit on. "These are really expensive.. " as if those who look and dress like me can not afford to invest in timeless writings. The huffing and puffing and moaning was already bad enough as I browsed....and unprompted yelling at me about Newsome "turning off the hydrants..." and "Trump is bad too" What an experience. The remarks will keep me from ever supporting this store. Team...understand the mission of the man who founded and collected...you two clearly do not have the same passion he held. I wish I had met him and not you two.
Well organized and had a large variety in topics. Some of the labels for genres need to be updated as the size of each genre has changed, but overall I loved the store and its offerings! I could spend hours here just looking at everything. Highly recommend for anyone looking for old books or beautiful books!

Really special books, you won't leave without something! Some absolutely WILD finds.
This place is literally not about the books. Sit on Loco Patron's patio during the books store's operating hours, order a Margarita, and watch the tacky drama unfold as the owner and staff of the store camp out and aggressively defend the parking lot from everyone - even the plaza's own customers. If you want to up the ante even more, actually try and attempt to park there and get treated to your own personal inquisition - why read about it in a book, when you can experience it yourself!
