Went the monday before new years for the first time, seemingly nice store and nice folks. We were looking for pet rats. They said they would have dumbos by Friday or Saturday. Called Friday morning and the babies were ready, asked them to hold three females and we would be there in an hour or 2 because wewere coming from willis. By the time we had gotten there about an hour and a half later had sold one of the females we had asked them to hold, strike 1 but we decided to give them a chance. So they brought us out an older dumbo, dripping porphyria (should have been a red flag literally) and asked if we'd consider her too and we asked about treatments and health guarantee, etc. We are experienced rat people and porphyria isnt always a sinister thing so we agreed to take her, asked what they had been treating with so we could continue it at home. Oh just something in the water any antibiotic for humans will treat rats (red flag 2 we ignored), they wouldn't give us a straight answer. Called back several times and the rat person wasnt there or they just didnt know. Poor ratty kept getting worse and got the vet involved. Finally got a call back i missed, after informing them of the lice issue we had found that day, and that a vet was now involved, because I was at work (no voicemail left either) with customers. Tried calling back and never got anyone to answer the phone, long story short the vet could finally see her a week after we brought her home, got her on better antibiotics, lice treatment, and better supportive care. She still didnt make it. They have never tried to call us back after that initial call back. So 200$ vet visit later on a full priced rat and we still lost her. Babies are fine so far. We will not be back. So buyer beware, I can provide a picture of the lice infestation as well as invoices from the vet for meds and pneumonia treatment.
Was excited to see the variety of animals but I was met with some sad sights. In their hermit crab enclosure the water was filthy and on the other HALF of the tank there was mush, maggots, and flies while the crabs were all huddled in the center with nowhere to go :( Jumping spiders were kept in condiment cups (I’m not sure for how long) but for JUMPING spiders who nest at the top it didn’t seem very efficient. Hope they can do better, this was not right at all.
Chose this pet store to buy a beardie for my son for his birthday present the beardie started acting very sick and out of the norm and would barely eat or move i called them and they told me to take the lizard to the vet first and if something is wrong they will make it right so we did and he was INFESTED with parasites which took multiple vet visits costing hundreds of dollars. we called the pet store and they straight up told us pretty much that we are screwed and there is nothing they can do for us and hung up on me I will never spend another dollar here worst customer service and experience ever
My son bought his first pet white tree frogs there. Everyone.There is so nice and very knowledgeable of everything that he needed to start his journey with his Frogs. He has to have live crickets for his frogs.And he will not let me go.Anywhere else but there to pick up his food for his frogs, I go twice a week and they already know me when I pull up very nice friendly.
My first time here I loved it had to come back the following week . Prices are fair and they have a very broad range of products and pets . The staff is chill .
