Starting with negatives: came in for the appointment (simple manicure), and waited. And waited. 10 minutes past the appointment time no one even bothered to come and tell me that they are running late, and finally I went in 15 minutes past the booked time, no communication, no apologies, just sitting alone in a very cold waiting room. Secondly, the manicure was advertised as providing “… hot towels and … hydrating hand massage”. It turned out to be a quick rub on the hands with lotion, and the hot towel was literally a warm towel for wiping off excess lotion. For a spa location and premium pricing, I definitely expect more, sconce that much I get at a local salon for half price with non-English-speaking staff. For the pros, the nail tech was very kind and we had a good conversation, and the nails were done right.
Choosing Ape & Canary for my daughter’s wedding was a fantastic choice! The whole team—Benn, Nick, Colleen, Madelyn, and Toni—is incredibly talented at hair and makeup, and they also brought such a positive, fun vibe to the bridal suite. They nailed the look that every bridesmaid, mother, and bride wanted, and we all felt so confident and beautiful the entire day. The team worked wonderfully with the entire group, keeping us on schedule and accommodating all the different looks and styles we wanted. Thank you so much for making my daughter’s wedding day so special!
I decided to treat myself to the pamper spa package and had such a wonderful experience. Toni gave an amazingly relaxing facial, and I wouldn't think twice about going back for a longer facial in the future. Hyunhee did my mani-pedi. The signature pedicure was absolutely phenomenal ✨ The gel manicure had a few minor problems (just human error) but the spa was willing to have me come in and have those cleaned up. Angela did my subsequent manicure and her flexibility was so appreciated. She also helped me pick out a color which ended up looking beautiful!
Great experience. I received a gift card to Ape and Canary from a friend, and used part of it toward a massage with Brittany, who was wonderful. I hadn’t had a massage in a while, so she definitely had some work to do. she was both very sweet and knowledgeable. I already booked my next appointment with her. When you check in, you’re taken to a lounge area (separate for men and women, unless you’re part of a couple’s experience), where you can change into a robe, enjoy tea or coffee, and relax by the fireplace with a book and a blanket. I was then taken by elevator to the second floor, where my room was warm and cozy. Brittany was attentive and accommodating throughout the session. After the massage, she let me know I was welcome to continue relaxing in the lounge, use the sauna or showers, or enjoy more tea or coffee. I ended up spending some time in the sauna, which was a perfect way to finish. The whole experience was amazing. I’m hooked.
A retreat worth speaking about! It was my first time at A&C and from start to finish I felt like an official princess getting pampered. Susan did an amazing facial and I made sure to utilize the extra amenities (rainfall shower with body jets, dry sauna) post service and I left feeling so rejuvenated! Their private sanctuary is like out of a magazine and really allowed me to unwind in amazing comfort and ambiance. I would recommend to anyone!
