I enrolled in October 2023 so I could have a final solution to my unemployment problems, given my difficulty with finding and holding jobs in my field and area, despite my myriad qualifications, but given my severe mental illness that would emerge later in the following year, I found it difficult to focus and eventually requested a medical deferral. They are accommodating to disabled individuals such as I, and have shown greater flexibility in recent times, but I ultimately needed to be medically discharged from the program due to said mental issues, and they were accommodating in that regard as well. A decent program, but not for everyone, since even the part-time version requires a great deal of focus.
Can't say enough positive things about App Academy. I was already a physical therapist when I decided to switch careers, App Academy (while a rigorous course) was excellent at teaching the fundamental of programming and helping me land my first software engineering job. Most importantly the amount of support I've gotten from App Academy even after graduating has been excellent, with alumni services and plenty of room for professional growth. App Academy really holds up its end of the deal of teaching software development and helping people get software engineering jobs, and I couldn't be more thankful.
App Academy helped kick start my career as a Software Engineer. I attended the 4 month program and within a year I started my first software engineer position with a great company. App Academy helped further my SWE knowledge, build a great portfolio for the job search, and provided access to invaluable resources. I also met great individuals in the instructors and fellow students. The program was intensive and required a lot of hard work but it paid off.
The best Academic decision of my life! App Academy is highly invested in not just teaching to code but also making sure you grow in your career. They offer opportunities to connect with Alumni as well as resources to assist you in finding jobs (even after you have landed your first job and your tuition has been paid). I cannot recommend App Academy enough.
I am very happy that I joined App Academy. I was very nervous of an idea of going to a bootcamp but I knew couple of App academy alumni and they all had great things to say about app academy. It was definitely intense course but if you are willing to work hard, your effort definitely pays off. I received so much help and support from everyone (students, TAs and coaches), and that definitely played a huge role in me being persistent on studying and on job search.
