I've been a client since June 2024, but I've been very sick and pest control is not on my list of "top priorities" - if you know what I mean. Aptive just sprayed my house today, and I decided I no longer wanted their service. I have other issues that I need to deal with!!! I promptly paid the bill and emailed their customer service address and requested future services be cancelled. That email bounced and I found a "notices" email address, so I sent another copy to that address email instead. This email bounced again, so I was presented a 1-800 # to call. I had my son call the # because I'm current in the hospital and clearly an offshore team answered and picked up and said my service couldn't be cancelled unless they were called from the phone number on file. They also said my son was not authorized to cancel unless I had "power of attorney"... Seriously? I need to provide proof of power of attorney to cancel a pest control service??!! This is ridiculous. My son got upset and the was forwarded to another person. Her name was Rebecca. Rebecca asked my son for the phone # on file and said i did not have to call from the # on file - so perhaps some training needs to be completed with the customer support staff. She would not allow my son to cancel for me so he had to hold the phone in front of me and I provided verbal approval for him to speak on my behalf. My son explained we wanted to cancel. I feel like I shouldnt have to provide an answer as to why. It should be my decision - plain and simple. However, I had to endure 15 mins of follow up questions on if the price was too high, if the service wasn't good enough, etc etc. It made me feel very awkward and the nurses in the room were appalled at what they heard as the exchange was on speaker phone. My son must have said "no thank you, please cancel".. at least 20 times. Finally Rebecca agreed and said the account would be cancelled. My son asked for an email confirmation the services were actually cancelled. They said I would get something to my email in 30 minutes. I did finally get the email, but it was over an hour later. I understand wanting to retain customers and offering discounts, but this was completely over the top and was very close to harassment. I hope Management follows up and makes adjustments to their business model.
I absolutely love working with Aptive Pest Control!! No small ant problem this year!! Plus No Fleas, Tic's, or other terrible yard bugs!! I do not like my puppy having fleas! Only pay $69 every other month for inside and outside sevice!! Pet friendly.
Vince was fabulous! He was kind, patient, and thorough in addressing all of my concerns about the property. The customer service was excellent from start to finish, and the price was very reasonable. I truly appreciate the time Vince took to answer all of my questions and make sure everything was handled properly. I feel very satisfied with the service and highly recommend this company!
The technician was outstanding. Very polite and helpful when answering my questions. He helped me navigate Aptive’s web site and called for support from the home office when he could not give a definitive answer. He also helped me adjust my fee based on a change I made to my original work agreement. Also impressed by his equipment and the way he used it. That includes all the photos he took of the work completed. Job well done!
