This museum was fun for the kids. They had a great time in the area where they let you pan for fools gold.
This museum has exhibits for the whole family. The museum features multiple floors, with each one dedicated to the history of the planet. You start with one celled algae, and conclude with human beings. The exhibits are are easily explained, making it accessible for everyone. The moment you enter the museum, you're greeted with dinosaur replicas and fossils. You should definitely visit this place if you're in the area. It is fun for history and science buffs, to kids that love the Jurassic Park movies.
This museum is awesome! Discounts are available to families of lower income. Quiet spaces, headphones and quiet disabilities lanyards were offered that helped my large family group keep an easier eye on our autistic children without it being awkward or uncomfortable. The staff were kind and the volunteer's had a passion for sharing their stories. Best to know ahead of time this museum is large! Our trip lasted about 3 hours and we didn’t even get to see all of the exhibits.
I spent an amazing friday afternoon at this museum with my kids and it was a hit! The dinosaur exhibit with a real waterfall was a wow moment, and the hands-on activities and play areas were a huge hit with my 4-year-old twins. They loved exploring the Native American and Maya exhibits, and learning about the wildlife native to Arizona. One of my twins was initially scared of the mammoth skeleton, but with some encouragement, she faced her fears and we ended up staying for almost 4 hours. The museum is well-curated and engaging for kids, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a fun and educational outing with little ones.
Took a family trip to the Museum and enjoyed it very much. My 4 year old Grandson loved the Dinosaur exhibits and especially liked panning for gold. You can't erase history it's happening everyday. Great Job to the Museum.
