We attended during their annual festival which is about a week long. During this time, I was delighted to find out that admission is free, and on top of that, the day that we attended actually included a special 'Art and Sound' event in which we were allowed to experiment and play with tone chimes, which was such a magical and elevated experience.
A beautiful and inspiring place filled with creativity and imagination. The exhibits are thoughtful and unique — like the one in the photo, blending art with storytelling in such a striking way. The gallery’s open space, natural light, and calm atmosphere make it a perfect spot to slow down and enjoy art from a fresh perspective. Definitely worth a visit!
Visited here on valentines, and it was a great date. So many unique and beautiful works of art in this collection. The admission was free for a certain part of the museum too.
Absolutely amazing experience! The Art Gallery of Hamilton exceeded all expectations — beautifully curated exhibits, an inspiring mix of contemporary and classic works, and a layout that really lets you immerse yourself in the art. The staff were knowledgeable and welcoming, and the entire space feels vibrant and thoughtfully designed. A true gem for anyone who loves creativity and culture. Highly recommend spending a few hours here — it’s unforgettable!
Free Summer Admission until August 31 2025 and Thursdays always. Public Tours are Weekends at 1pm and Thursdays at 6:30pm. I am so so happy to have finally been able to admire the artists here. Thankful for all the seating areas.
