The reviews about being rude and unprofessional are accurate. I called for some info on setting an engagement ring. They were condescending about my lack of knowledge of the process. I asked if they could be more helpful, the lady apologized for the “great offense” as she put it sarcastically and hung up the phone. Maybe just a bad day but I wouldn’t personally send people their way. I was recommended them by a friend who had a good experience, I’m not sure if it’s an individual employee or the business but the lack of good manners was a dealbreaker for me.
My wedding band was peeling, it was so strange since I’d only had it for a few months. I had originally purchased the ring off Etsy where the business claimed it was white gold. This establishment said the ring looked silver and that I likely got scammed. They repaired it in a couple weeks for $58 and it looks brand new. The ladies here were friendly and appeared knowledgeable about jewelry. Would recommend this store again!
They're rude. Told me it would take a month to send my ring out and get it re sized, laughed at me when I politely said I would find somewhere else. They told me theres nowhere else around to get it done. Not true, I just talked to Long Jewelers in Chesapeake who will have it done in house in a week.
I have many pieces of fine jewelry from Baker’s, including my engagement ring, wedding band, and my fiancé’s wedding band. They are so great to work with, and we come all the way from Richmond just to use Baker’s. I won’t use another fine jeweler!
They resized my ring in about 10 days total time. I love my ring and it fits perfectly now! It was lovely to work with the jeweler on finding the right sizing for me. Everyone was very kind and friendly. It cost less than the original price estimate I was given which was a lovely surprise. Very happy and I will absolutely be coming back for my future jewelry needs! Very pleasant experience
